Anyone here use AirTags on their luggage? Thinking of getting a four pack for an upcoming trip, direct flights, but heck I've traveled enough to know that even that is not safe now-a-days! Figured could toss one in each of three checked bags, and one in the electronics carryon.

I don’t think this has been posted, but apologies if it has been….the Chase offer to get $50 back when you make 2 payments of $50+ on AT&T Fiber is back. I searched this board and found out the last time that offer was floating around, it worked on AT&T wireless payments. I tried it (one payment of $51 and one for $52), and I got the email confirmation that I had triggered the credit today. It hasn’t posted yet, but fingers crossed. I’ve got the offer on about 4 cards, so I’ll build up a nice little credit on my account!

I am trying to figure out flights to Barcelona for next year and it's such a pain! The dates are not available yet but should be coming up in a month or two. But for the latest booking dates possible, I keep trying to find award space on BA with avios to no avail. I thought American Airlines would appear. They have biz availability listed on their own site JFK-BCN but it doesn't appear on BA. Then I was trying with Iberia, they have their own flights on that route, but if I select book with avios the biz class shows as unavailable.

Anybody know how to crack using avios on partner airlines? If I can't figure this out I'll just use AirFrance/KLM and stop in CDG as I'm much more used to booking through them.

I've noticed that Iberia only releases 2 J tickets on each flight, are you needing more than that?

I know a couple people were sharing DPs about the $300 travel credit on the VentureX card so I'm going to add mine from this year. On P2's card I made a car rental booking on 4/1, canceled it and made a different booking on 4/6, and on 4/21 the full $300 was credited to the VX account. Each booking was less than $300 but nonetheless the full $300 was triggered, I guess because the combined total of the two bookings was over $300. The same happened with my VX account this year when I booked a hotel and canceled a few days later, I still got the full $300 travel credit. In that instance, the hotel charge was over $300 and I got the travel credit just 3 days later.

I had a note that on May 4th, SW was going to release the schedule through the end of the year. I just checked, and now it says June 8th. UGHH. I need a flight in December... I don't know how many pts it's gonna be on Southwest... wondering if I should just book on United because I need a very specific day. It's a lot of points on United, but until Southwest releases the schedule, I don't even know if they'll have any flights that day! The route from our city to SJO typically only has 2-3 flights per week, and sometimes they stop them for a month or 6 weeks and don't fly there at all, then start again. Don't know what to do!!

If you have the points, you can book the United flights as your backup and cancel if/when the SW schedule drops. You have until 30 days prior to departure to cancel the UA flights and get your full refund (I did this just a few weeks ago). You can still get a full refund less than 30 days prior but you first have to change your flight to sometime far out in the future and then cancel that new flight.

ETA: I'm referring to UA miles being used for the flights, not URs used through the Chase portal. I don't know about those being refundable if you change your mind.

You could put 15K on an Amex Biz Plat, get the 150K SUB and get 12 mo no interest to boot

United changed the cancellation policy in Jan 2023 and now you can cancel up till day of departure. I canceled a United flight last month with less than a week’s notice. Then booked a new flight altogether connecting through Amsterdam because I could book business class that way. My friend who was supposed to visit wound up canceling a few days before departure. Points went back immediately to my United mileage account.

On opening day my flight from PHX-SJO was $785 one way for 1 person!! I about died. It did eventually drop to $350, but don’t be surprised if opening day those flights are high!

I chatted for DH and they said there weren't any offers available on his account. They did say they could change daily, so I need to try back again. His annual fee should be posting any day now.

Thanks all for responding about AirTags. Sounds like positive results so went ahead and ordered the four pack from COSTCO for $90, Amazon had them for the same price but can't beat COSTCO's return policy if something goes wrong.

Well that gives me an idea, My mother is coming with us to Disney on a scooter, might just have to give her one to carry so she can wonder off while DD and I go on rides and we can find her after.
