Well shoot. Saw a 40 pt BLT in my UY I liked on Fidelity. Made and offer and that thing is already gone. Wondering if someone here got it! I just can't bring myself to pay their admin fee so I always say I won't pay that lol!
Do the total math. Most other brokers have higher closing costs than fidelity.

My closing cost with fidelity will be $543 + $225 service fee on a 100 point contract for a total of $768

With another broker that I looked at a similar 100 point contract at the same resort the closing costs are $759.

I don’t know if you would have the same results with a 40 point contract but my point is to do your research and don’t let the service fee scare you off.

For a larger contract I probably would definitely consider it. I guess for a 40 point contract it adds around $5.62 per point so I would probably need to look at it that way and make my offer accordingly. Thanks!

Okay two 4/6's have passed.

Hi! New member here. I have a direct contract at BWV from 1998. We haven’t used our points in a while and just returned from a stay at BLT. Absolutely loved it. I may have paid a bit too much per point but there didn’t seem to be much available for BLT in the point range I desired.

Hi. Updating to reflect passing

I'm uber jelly over your deal!!! I've been trying on and off since Dec2022 to land a sim deal, max or near max contract at $140-145 range. I've gotten close twice with owners in the high $149/low $150 but than neither of us would budge.

I am curious tho why so high $30,060 if $27.5K purch + ~$1.5K 23 maint reimb + closing ~$1K? or was it admin 225 + closing ~775?
Thank you! Just catching up on this and am seriously floating on a cloud that I got this offer through so really appreciate your comment. Have been monitoring prices for YEARS and jumped when after I saw some $130-135 deals go through in the Jan - March thread. I wanted something semi-loaded and noticed that the PVB contracts with those points were become few and far between so I offered lowish but was strategic when they countered and happily met in the middle. I knew that accounting for those '23 points would put me in the range of that $130 amazing @pkrieger2287 deal so I wasn't afraid to scoot my offer to closer to $145 and they bit.

I think I calculated my total cost high, that's all. Maybe you can help me calculate correctly, I only had closing estimates but my total should have been $27.5 purchase price + $1.5 '23 maintenance, + closing costs which are about $1300 I think? While I'm setting cash aside, seemed smarter to err on the side of higher.

Check your Contract doc, the estimated closing costs should be on there. I would have expected that to be around $500-700 depending on the company for this size contract. Some WBs have their admin fee, but that is around ~$200-225 from what I've seen. But yeah Contract is 1st estimate than after ROFR and you get closing docs, those #s are final final.
