I've tried the scan receipt thing twice now and twice it has not worked...any tips?

I bought tortillas this week and cucumbers a week ago...each time I scan my metro receipt it states I didn't buy those items.

I sent airmiles a message each time.

if all you want is the current big 100 miles you need to buy one of the items that is specifically mentioned and has a picture, I've read lots of other reports from various sources that those "nebulous items" seem to confuse the system. I bought the tic tacs ONLY, in one separate transaction and it popped up instantly on the screen that I'd earned the miles and they posted to my account within 10 minutes. Personally I'm not going to bother with this part of the program unless they offer big bonuses like this, too much effort for 3 miles and my receipts tend to be very very very long!

I submitted a request from the personal shopper several days ago for tickets to MVMCP and they sent the 'confirm the info' email immediately but now I've heard nothing back. I'm getting a little nervous as the only other night we can attend is now sold out. There are a lot of sold out nights...most actually. I really wanted to redeem miles for the party and then maybe also for our hotel. I've got a hotel booked directly through Hilton. It was on AM then off but now it's back on AM.

Has anyone booked a hotel recently though AM....is it the same as it was a year ago with paying the small fee (taxes maybe) along with the miles at time of booking? It looks like it says fees included but it also looks like I pay it OOP ???? Then there is the issue of the fees payable to the hotel directly....I asked about that before but I guess no one had any thoughts on it. Those fees are listed twice.

I just booked a room at Universal a few days ago using AM. The booking was AM for most of the booking and about $100 for the taxes and fees (3 nights). I also saw the blurb about resort fees. That I guess depends where you book if that applies. Parking is one of those items that would be extra at the hotel.

In September, we used ours from 2018 and they worked fine. We charged with them, used them for entry and rides we pre-booked, opened our room doors, everything you would need them for. Now, having said that, I understand they have a battery in them that only lasts so long. Were we just lucky ours hadn't died? Who knows.
Worst case scenario, you get a hard key from the front desk, it will do all those things as well. It's good to have anyways as a free suvie.

I’m looking at one of the Hilton Vacation Club resorts. There is no parking fee but there is a resort fee. My direct booking shows it as $20/day. The AM site shows a fee payable at the resort as $189CAD but then further down it says $22.50 USD paid direct to the resort. So what I’m wondering is do I have to pay a double fee…the $22.50 would be approx $189 CAD. It’s confusing.

What about going on the Hilton Vacations site directly. Doing a practice booking and see what comes up in the Terms and Conditions. Hopefully that may clear up the confusion.

We used ours last year from 2018 as well. From what I have read, the only issue might be memory maker and the battery. Everything should still work.

Well, DD15 and I faced the mall today and went to Lululemon for a major fitting session LOL
Leggings, shorts, bras, and shirts...oh my! It was sensory overload for me, honestly.

I had bought the AM Max Pass 40x for Lululemon, but I actually think I will "only" end up getting her leggings ($98) and maybe an Align tank top ($39-$49) or shorts ($49-$59). For $10 (95 miles), even if I double my miles I will be happy.

My budgeted money is running out and I still need to buy something for my parents. They were going to go to Universal in February, so American money was my fall back plan. At least when they were going to Disney I could buy them gift cards...

I was back and forth about where to spend my Mel's Wish Pass and finally realized the idea of doing Christmas shopping early was to have my next two vacations debt/stress free. Christmas is kind of in between both trips.
So I had a look at the budget and picked out just a few things I need at Staples ,,,I'll be happy with what ever Airmiles I get. I went to the bank on Fri and exchanged some CAD for USD ,,, a real eye opener ,,thank goodness for my Disney Gift Cards and Starbucks stash.

I just moved some money over to my US Account earlier today to pay for my recent spending spree on vacation plans. I got 1.4121 as an exchange rate. Ouch! Oh well. Still worth every penny. I've used as many Airmiles as possible to cushion the blow.

I have a reservation booked direct with Hilton. It's actually a very good deal. I got an Honors member price of only $81/night when you book at least 4 nights. TBH it will be tough to cancel that one, even for AM, I stand to earn a nice wack of points due to combining some bonuses. Anyway, it says on my confirmation that the daily resort fee is $20USD. So now there is a third number....we've got $189CAD, $22.50USD and $20USD.

I've sort of decided that if I don't hear back from the personal shopper today I'm going to go ahead and buy the party tickets. So that will push me to book a hotel via AM. I sent the request for a quote on Nov 8th. I recall it being much faster in the past. I did add a message saying that time was short and a quick turn around would be greatly appreciated....guess it didn't help. Now let's see if I stick to my plan today!

That’s an interesting thought. My laptop has been on the steady decline for a while….it’s maybe 8 yrs old. The power cord wiggles and if you do it just right (which is code for move an inch) the power cuts out. So currently, it is taped in place. The battery lasts only about 90ish minutes. I really hate the idea of having to even research getting a new one, let alone dealing with using a new one.

So where are we buying a new laptop from??? and what do we buy???
