Girls Trip Take 2 - Labor Day Weekend 2021 and Christmas 2021 Trip

We start our drive to Disney tomorrow.

And I'm not packed. The weather keeps changing so I haven't packed any clothes yet. Tonight is going to be a long night. We started with the week looking like rain everyday but temps in the 70s. It now looks like we'll have rain on our drive down there on Saturday and Sunday but none after that. The temps are a good bit lower too. The high on Tuesday is 58! I have not planned for cooler temps.

I'm working today but so ready to be out of here. I'll have to make a Target run on my lunch hour.

I have a few more gifts to finish wrapping that are going down with us for Danielle and friends. I also need to charge everything tonight. My snacks and drinks are ready to go.

I hope everyone has a great week leading up to Christmas.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Have a great trip and Merry Christmas to you too!

Have a wonderful time! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back...or after the holidays 😉

Safe travels. Have a fantastic trip.
Wishing you and all the family a very Merry Christmas and health and happiness for 2024 🎉🎉🎉

Thank you! We had a great trip but it's been hard getting back into a normal routine.

Thank you!

Wishing you and your family a great New Year too. I'm too late to wish you a Merry Christmas, but I do hope it was good. How was your trip?

Well, we made it back late Thursday afternoon and jumped right into getting ready for Christmas.

We had a great trip, but it was more crowded than I like. We had lots of fun but there was lots we didn't do and lots we didn't eat. Of course, that just makes me want to go back again.

John Paul had a blast and kept us entertained. I know we wore him out good. Lots of memories were made.

We LOVED Wilderness Lodge!!!! All the CMs there were just great. When I got our room assignment, I was disappointed that our room didn't face the pool area or the lobby. We were on the 4th floor, which was great, but we faced the treed area looking down at the cabins. We could hear the Magic Kingdom train and could see the Contemporary and a little of the Magic Kingdom. I changed my opinion of our room when we heard the first booms of the Christmas Party fireworks. When we walked out onto the balcony, we could SEE the fireworks! It was fabulous! JP had already fallen asleep, so he missed them, but Dennis, Danielle and I did not. We made plans to try and catch them again on Tuesday night. I don't know if we could have seen HEA fireworks or not. We were never in the room when they went off. Danielle seemed to think we could see the party fireworks due to them being perimeter fireworks.

We laughed at lots of JP funnies, but the best was him tasting Beverly. I still giggle when I think about it.

I'm hoping to find some time this weekend to add to this report.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and you all have a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

Thank you for the wishes. We are heading home today and overall it has been a good trip. Would definitely go away for Christmas again as it’s been so stress free though my lovely husband has asked could I please please cook a Turkey dinner for New Years and because I too love turkey and gammon dinners I’ve said yes 😱🤣
At least I won’t be dealing with the crazy queues at the butchers that you have on Christmas 🤣🤣🤣

Your husband is very lucky. Dennis wanted cornbread dressing for Christmas dinner (even though I made it for Thanksgiving), but I convinced him it was too much to do.

I will be making a pork roast with rice and gravy along with the traditional cabbage and black-eyed peas for New Year's Luck and Money.

We had a room on the 4th floor facing the cabins and I loved it. I watched fireworks almost every night and the view was perfec!
Happy new Year to you and yours!

I'm so happy to hear you loved the WL! I was very curious to hear your opinion.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful New Years. :goodvibes

I always leave wishing I had done more. It's impossible to do everything , especially with pre Christmas crowds. It makes me want to go back again too!

That's the best!! Precious memories made with your first grandson. :goodvibes

We went to London for 5 nights. It was going to be 3 nights originally to watch Arsenal play West Ham ( soccer premier league). We are Arsenal fans and it was everyone’s Christmas gift. The match got moved so we stayed the extra nights do we could still go. We did lots of walking, took in all the Christmas sights, Covent Garden, Tower of London , parks & palaces etc plus a couple of shows & then the match in the final day. They lost which was a bit of a bummer but it was a good trip overall and nice to spend some solid family time together.

Sounds like a lovely family trip! I adore London although I have not been there in many years. It really is a fabulous city. :)

Do you remember you room number? I was really wondering if we would have seen HEA too. We were in 4016.

Happy new Year to you and yours!

Thank you! I hope your New Years is Good too.

I'm so happy to hear you loved the WL! I was very curious to hear your opinion.

We all loved it. I'm sure we'll have a hard time staying Value after this. But if it means I get to go to Disney I'll do it.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful New Years. :goodvibes
We had a nice quite New Years Eve. I'm happy to say Dennis and I actually made it to midnight. We also enjoyed watching Football all day on New Years and seeing LSU win. Danielle went to the game so we got to see some of her point of view too.

I've been at Christmas time for the past 3 years and there is still more I want to do.
