I love credit cards so much! v6.0 - 2023 (see first page for add'l details)

Planning out P2's CP strategy, and I think in the past we've done both MDD and 1 each personal/biz. Leaning towards the latter since I didn't have a good result with the sapphire MDD. Anyone have a personal preference or recent experience?
You probably could get away with 3 cards.
If one of you has a SW card to support from:
P1: SW business performance using support link
P1: 85k RR
P2: 20k support

P2: SW business performance using support link
P2: 85k RR
P1: 20k support

P1: SW personal using support
P1: 50k
P2: 20k

P1: 155k RR
P2: 125k, if P2 already has a card then you’ll only need 125k because of the 10k CP boost for card holders.
If you don’t already have a SW card to do this I would do one Biz and one personal.
I have earned two SUB for the SW business Premier card in a 24 month period, so I don’t think the 24 month rule applies for business cards

The meter moved for my Dell credit on my PlatBiz today, guessing I'll see the credit in the next day or two. Meters haven't moved for UTB (Plat + Plat Biz) or Saks (Plat). All purchases made the same day so there really seems to be no rhyme or reason!
As I thought, Dell credit showed up today, one day after the meter moved. Now if Saks and United TB meters would just move! LOL

In the past have you checked in the morning and saw nothing and then again in the afternoon and seen a change? I'm wondering if I might see something on my flight credit later today. The purchase posted 9 days ago which is when I saw the credit in December.

Yeah I've checked throught the day and had one move in the evening.

My airline credit posted today but the entertainment credit that moved the meter a few days ago still hasn't credited. Better to be waiting for 20 to credit than 198 and I know it will eventually just expected it by now.

I thought about it for a split second but then remembered my goal for 2024 and said no. Goal for 2024 is to keep annual fee expenses under $1,500.
Coupon book isn’t necessary, I keep buying Dell items I don’t really need and we have plenty of SW points for domestic flights. I refuse to use airline credit on United because we’ve been burned on the last 2 United flights we’ve taken.

Stick to my 2024 goal.
I am using United flight credits for 2 long haul flights in May (each one way). I got the credits when they burned me last year and bumped me out of Polaris at the gate. Took me 2 months to get them after being told they would be in my email the next morning. After that experience, I am actively expecting disappointment. A downgrade this year would be even more painful though because we are only booked in the Premier Plus cabin. This is one of those hoping for the best but planning for the worst scenarios. I used my CSP for the travel insurance and purchased travel insurance, so at least I have options if something goes terribly wrong.

I’ve done the 2 SW business cards since the bonus is higher on those than the personal cards

I haven't personally, but I feel like I've seen some cumulative data points that people have seen changes morning, mid-day, and evening, but I can't point you to exact sources for that.

Our flight to SFO in May got changed because of the Max 9 planes being grounded. It’s actually a good change because it went from 6 am to 8 am. Now we won’t have to stay at MCO before the flight. I’m hoping there aren’t any more changes though
Hope springs eternal- but I’d keep that hotel room until you have to cancel it just in case…

I have a stay booked for April at an IHG hotel. It's two nights and I should be getting a FNC this month. Can I call them and apply the FNC to the existing reservation? If not what's the best way to rebook two nights and use the FNC?
I would like to know this also. Have 2 Rooms booked for September at Intercontinental Miami for a night before a cruise. I booked on points but will have 3 FN Certificates coming up. Wasn't sure if I had to cancel and rebook or just call.

Mine show up at 12 PM ET. My dell credit wasn't there this morning but is now.

It's a very misleading offer. It's not actually 30k more points, but 1 additional point until you hit $15k. So the total SUB would be 45k if you maxed out at $15k spend. The other 15k is points you'd get anyways.

I just got this email (I recently stayed at a Hyatt, so guess that's why). It says the next $15k spend is 2 points per dollar so wouldn't that be 30k points?

Earn 30,000 Bonus Points when you spend $3,000 on purchases in your first 3 months from account opening.** Earn up to 30,000 more by earning 2 Bonus Points total per $1 spent in the first 6 months from account opening, up to $15,000 in purchases.**

That's probably the same as the public offer, which says this (bold and italics mine):

"30,000 Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in your first 3 months from account opening. Plus, up to 30,000 More Bonus Points by earning 2 Bonus Points total per $1 spent in the first 6 months from account opening on purchases that normally earn 1 Bonus Point, on up to $15,000 spent.**"

Yes, you'd get 30k points, but 15k of that is points you'd get regardless.

The extra point also only applies to 1x purchases, not 2x restaurants or 4x Hyatt.

Wanted to mention we visited the Priority Pass lounge in CLT on Tuesday evening (The Club, Terminal A) and enjoyed it. We decided to try it vs paying for DH to go into the Centurion lounge. Food was good, no wait, easy to find a table to sit at. Would visit again. Worked well for us as our flight out of Key West was delayed 2 hours (20 minute at at time) so we proactively changed our CLT to RDU flight and ended up in CLT hungry (had a nice breakfast at Latitudes on Sunset Key that morning, but by 6pm were hungry).

Got the platinum airline credits today. Not Saks so far. And strangely enough did the HomeDepot
spend 150 get 15 back and no credit. Purchase made in mid December. DH bought a bunch of painting
supplies. Normally I get a giftcard and get the credit very soon. Now did a legit purchase and nothing not
even congrat email.🤣

DHs CP went like this
11/3/23 approved for SW Performance Biz
1/2/24. Second statement closed, points to RR account
12/9/23 approved for SW Plus
1/8/24 first statement closed (must have been late because I looked during the day and nothing. Everything was there the next day.)
1/9/24 points to RR account, CP available
