We saw them in 2022, a really talented act!! I love all the art and the food, looks like your trip was off to a great start.

They were so neat! I was so impressed. Now I want to see the other boardwalk acts, which I'd never really cared about before.

I was there at the same time and wish I had run into you since I love your trip reports! Can't wait to read about this trip.

Flying Fish is one of the few signatures I’ve yet to try. I’m sorry your drinks weren’t great but your overall meal looked nice.

Also, that’s really nice about the shortcut exit/entry door! It’s always great to save a few steps!

Back from our May Disney trip and so jumping back to this trip report! We had a great time, though it was much hotter than I expected for May...dang Florida being Florida. So one more trip report after this one!

Meeting Alice - Monday Jan 15, 2024 (part 1)​

The next morning we slept in a bit - our (my) big plans didn't start until the Festival really opened up at 11, so no rush! We got up around 8am (skipped Genie plus and the Guardians virtual queue), and decided to take advantage of our balcony to have breakfast: look at this view!



I placed a mobile order and Trevor was kind enough to run down to the quick service and pick it up.

Biscuits and eggs and bacon and fruit! Yum. And one more balcony picture just because.

Our balcony did face the building but just by looking to the left we could see the lagoon. It was ever so slightly cool and just really nice outside. We relaxed and ate and watched the people head into Epcot...just so nice.

A little after 9, we were ready to head into Epcot! It wasn't very crowded at all, which was nice - just very low key. As we walked towards Future World, guess who we saw out meeting?

Alice! her line was pretty short, so we hopped in, cause why not.

5 minutes later, we were meeting Alice!


I do love how for Festival of the Arts they have the characters with the artwork - so fun with the White Rabbit picture there in the back. And gives me something to talk to the characters about!

We kept making our way towards the front - I wanted to see the photo ops/sets that they have set up, and figured they'd be less crowded in the morning, so that's where we were headed. But I was (of course) taking lots of pictures of the other decorations and such up for the festival.

Festival Photo Ops! - Mon Jan 15, 2024 (part 2)​

We also ran into the chalk art section, which was another thing I was excited to see.

The forecast was calling for at least some rain so I was nervous how that would affect the chalk art, but at least so far, no need to worry!

Then we made it to the photo ops! You definitely need two people for these, cause no photopass photographers and no place to prop up your phone and set the timer if you're by yourself.

Trevor wasn't interested in this one, but he got super into the next one:


He fits right in with the penguins!


And the last photo op was for Wish - we hadn't seen Wish yet but gotta be completionists.



Actors we are not, but we had a lot of fun, and it wasn't very crowded so basically had no wait. Nice!

Where to next? It was still way before the festival booths opened and while we did want to also meet Figment, he wouldn't start meeting til 10. So, what next?!

Ohhh, I love those ears! They are so cool!

I really wish they would have photopass photographers at the photo ops, last time I went to FArts it was a solo trip and I was bummed I wasn't able to do most of them.
