Disney site won’t add DVC-discounted AP to my cart

I am trying to purchase the Platinum Plus AP with the DVC discount @ $559.

When I go to the Ticket Store, and identify myself as a DVC member by logging in, the site presents me with the promotional pricing and the green “Add to Cart” button. When I click on the button, I am brought to my cart screen, but it tells me “Your cart is empty”.

I have tried and re-tried adding the pass to my cart, on different devices with different browsers, and with clearing my browser cache. The problem remains - I can never add the pass to my cart.

I noticed that if I sign out, and go back to the ticket store as an unidentified user (i.e., no DVC login), I can add the non-discounted AP to my cart with no problem. So I am guessing it has something to do with the linking of my DVC account, and validating that I am eligible for the discount.

Anyone else have this issue? I called MDE tech support, but the guy - while very nice - was completely worthless.

Just buy it on the phone, IT may be dicky again.

Thanks. I am doing that this morning, but my FP window also opened this morning, so I was hoping to get the ticket squared way last night.
 
Called MS - apparently this is a known issue that they are working on. Just FYI in case someone else finds themselves experiencing the same problem.
 


Great the IT isn’t it? My membership card this week changed to member since 2007.

Same thing happened to me today. I, too, tried different browsers, etc. I called the phone number the DVC ticket special price info says. It is member services. I asked if they were having trouble, the girl I spoke with denied any known problem. She didn't seem to want to help, and just parroting the same thing, rather than ever answering my question. Out of frustration, I gave up, and will try tomorrow or sometime before Jan 3 when I am not under a time constraint. I would like to do it on line, quick and done.

Why didn't you just buy the APs while you had MS on the phone?
 
Had the same problem a few days ago. Like others, had to call in to purchase the AP. Also tried to purchase a few of the special 7-day (at price of 5) tickets on the same call, but the ticketing rep said I'd have to speak to DVC MS to do that (what?!).
 
This happened to me last month. I did the online chat and they said it was being worked on and to check back later. It was never fixed. I ended up calling and buying the passes over the phone.
 
This happened again to me this morning on the regular WDW site when I tried to price out a cash res for Thanksgiving week 2018. As far as I know there are currently no DVC or AP discounts or promotions for that week. However, I was logged in and presumably tagged as a DVC member/AP holder, and the system was unable to give me even a preliminary quote for the cash res.

When I signed out, and tried getting a quote again, only as a "stranger" this time, everything worked fine.
 
I have the Platinum Plus AP with the DVC discount right now but will be able to renew just before Jan. 1
Does anyone know what the renew cost is with the discount ???
 
As far as I can remember, the online system has never allowed a member to make a purchase of a new AP with the DVC discount. You can only do a renewal online. You have to call to purchase a new AP. And as far as I know, they have never actually been working on fixing the issue.

And the renewal price with the latest discount is $475 (plus tax)

I'm able to add the DVC PAP special to my cart and go to check out. What I've never been able to do is to get it to add a renewal.

Good old website - so consistent.

Sometimes my mind flips the reality and you are correct. It is the renewals that I have always had to call to get and new ones were usually available online, although I have not personally purchased the discounted PAP.

I purchased the PAP online MDE indicates "Disney Platinum Plus Pass". I did however get the DVC discount. My DD bought the PAP over the phone and it indicate "DVC Member Platinum Plus Pass - New Certificate", we both paid the same price.
