Always borrowing..can I do this?

I have a 220 point Dec UY contract with 72 points left from 2018. I want to take the whole family (10 people) from Dec 1-7, 2019. I need 244 points for the reservation. Will I be able to borrow Dec 2020 points for this trip if I decide to add nights? Just want to make sure before I use a few points for a quick getaway with DH.

A Dec 2019 trip falls into your 2019 UY, so you can use banked 2018 pts plus current 2019 UY pts plus borrowed 2020 UY pts when you make the reservation.

If you eventually decide to add nights in November 2019, that part of the stay would fall in your 2018 UY and would not have the option of using borrowed 2020 pts.

you should be able to. A dec 1-7 2019 trip falls within your 2019 use year so you should be able to borrow 2020 points.

Thanks everyone. I was 99.9 % sure but needed some verification. Thanks for bringing up the point that if we want to add a night on the beginning that would be Nov. I'll have to really plan around that.

Since you cross your UY, you would have separate reservations for Nov and Dec. If you wanted nights in Nov 2019, you would not want to bank the Dec 2018 points if you needed to use them (and borrow Dec 2019 points if you needed them, too).
