We are the ones considering two contracts....here is a new twist. We live 3 1/2 hours away and never plan way ahead. Only a month or so max.....are we going to end up owning these contracts and never beng able to get in because of lack of planning? We will never care much where we stay, and know we have to avoid busy times.

What are the chances of getting ressies, stuidio or one/two bedrooms on little notice?

That's an awfully hard question to answer, because there are so many variables. You do sometimes see people posting on here that they got rooms on very short notice. As long as you're very flexible about where you stay (and the possibility of splitting your stay between more than 1 property) and stick to the slow times of year, you'd probably have success.

Yeah, it can go both ways. But anecdotally, we have usuallly had very good luck getting ressies on short notice because we are usually not in a position to plan ahead. We've gotten ressies at OKW with less than a week's notice. We've had less good luck booking VB with short notice though.
