We definately want this cruise as well. Can't wait to go back to Warnemunde.

It is sooooo good to hear from you Izzi.
Hope Paul & Ethan & Josh are well. Sallie said she would contact you. We are on board for the 18th as well and Sandra & Gerry are considering it too. Harole Ann & Garry and Jan & Howie are also going and it seems Andrew & family and Julie, too. Unfortunately Helen can't because of school and haven't heard from Lynn but she probably can't because of school as well.

So, it may just be a little mini-reunion. How exciting!!!!!!!!!

Oh WOW how good it would be to see everyone..it really is quite exciting but I don't want to get tooooo excited about it just yet as we've got Joshua 's barmitzvah to get through and pay for !!!!!!!! first.

As for a quick catch up we'll all doing well. Paul and I are just fine, the boys are growing up so fast ~Ethan is starting secondary school next September !!! We had a bit of a scare earlier this as Josh was diagnosed with scoliosis and it was so bad he had to have a spinal fusion at the beginning of the summer....but the operation went well, he's now in a body brace and he can do no physical activity at all expect walk for about another 4 months but hopefully we're over the worst of it.

Anyway it's really good to be back here and hopefully this will be as good fun as our little Med thread was.

So glad Josh is on the mend. I had a lumber fusion about 10 yrs ago and have never felt better so I am sure he will be fine. Just heard from Lynn Tarrant on the Romeancing thread and she is rearranging her school's schedule to make the 18th. That's the privilege of being principal! Now we just have to talk Helen into taking off 2 days that last week to join us. She is so sad that she won't be able to join us.

OMG, so glad to hear from you Izzie, yes, I did waitlist with my TA for July 18th today. With so many of us committing, this is just too exciting! I'm also in a bind b/c seriously, I could be planning a wedding that summer with my oldest, but we'll book, b/c Ken and I are celebrating our 30th AND WE DESERVE IT!!

I hope your son is okay, Maryann's message sounds like good advice. Best wishes for the bar mitzvah (when is it?)

It's so cool that our thread is already started and we haven't even booked yet..........this group is going to be so much fun!! :worship:

TY to DCL for making this great plan!!:surfweb: :wizard:

YES YOU DO DESERVE IT!!!!! Tom & I did the Med for our 30th and not a day goes by that we don't say it was the best trip we ever took. Go for it!

Thx Maryann! I feel so blessed that so many DISfriends from our previous Med cruise are booking again!!:goodvibes :surfweb: popcorn:: :yay:

This one is on our short list of choices! Trying to pin down what dates might work best at our jobs. Will let u all know if this one is THE one for us!

OMG I'd forgotton what it's like to read through a bunch of posts "the morning after the night before" and we've not even started yet !!!!!!

Joanne you certainly deserve something special for a 30th wedding anniversary just think of the memories you'll be able to carry with you.

We've got Joshua barmitzvah exactly 1 year prior to this cruise on July 18th 2009 and the a big dinner and dance celebration at the London Aquarium on July 19th for 120 people so it's really quite a big thing AND THEN we;ve got Ethan's barmitzvah sometime in April/May 2011 which will also be equally special so things are quite exciting AND expensive around here at the moment.

It really is good to be able to chatter on like this I feel as though I'm have a coffee morning with a bunch of really, really good friends even though I've not seen any of you in 18 months......THANK YOU

OK - throwing my hat in "just in case." And also to subscribe.

Steve and I are planning on booking a couple and then seeing where the dust lands. I really want to do the repo but the temptation to do this one was too much. Plus, MaryAnn and Julie said I should DO IT! :rotfl2: So, I'm just doing it. Heck, we have like 18 months of so to figure out how to pay for it. :lmao:

But I agree with MaryAnn's observation. The family and I still talk about our Europe trip. It still to this day brings a smile to my face. And the thought of going to these places with friends? Just icing on the cake! :thumbsup2 :teeth:

I agree, it's like old friends getting back in touch!

You're planned bar mitzvah sounds fabulous, Izzy! I'm starting to dread my upcoming weddings with the 3 girls (one is 24 and has a steady guy) and of course, still putting them all through college.........but I still think our family memories are worth the expense of these trips!

It's so glad to talk to you again AND OF COURSE MEET NEW FRIENDS!!!!!:dance3:

Yes it is so wonderful to share our life with such good friends. Izzy, it seems like you've been planning Josh's bar mitzvah for so long. I am sure it will be fabulous. You must share pics!!!!! Luckily Ethan's isn't until after we sail so you have a year to save up for that!!!:rolleyes1

Tom & I were talking last night, recalling how all the men were so apprehensive about our internet friendship. But now he says he's so looking forward to seeing everyone again. I've been keeping him updated about who is jumping on ship. He says to say hello to Paul for him, Izzy.

We're also putting first claim on the dates - our son just bought an engagement ring for his girlfriend and will probably pop the question any day. We're just going to tell him that July 18-30 2010 is OFF LIMITS for a WEDDING!!!:lmao: There are plenty of other weekends.:upsidedow

Hope you join us Carol Ann. You will find we are a wonderful bunch (if we must say so ourselves):flower3: .

Yes, JoAnn, we are all looking forward to new friendships, too. Well said.

Anyone heard from Mary Jo??? Wonder if she's interested. I'll ask over on Romancing the mouse thread.

Yes, I've heard there's a lot more of us coming soon!!!!!!!!! Some are waiting for the official booking!!:goodvibes
