We had an 8:35 a.m. ADR for Breakfast at Akershus. We check in are told it will be a few minutes. We see a lot of little girls dressed up in their Princess dresses. My DD was dressed up as Belle. princess: We waited about 15 minutes before being called in. We get in the line to meet Belle. The greeter is a very nice gentleman who explains that Belle takes pictures with us here and the other Princesses will visit the table. It is now our turn and DD does not want to stand next to Belle. She just wants us to take her picture and get her autograph. We are then escorted to our table. We were seated across from where Belle stands.

Our waitress comes over and takes our drink order. She comes back shortly with our drinks and a bowl of fruit and cinnamon rolls. We help ourselves to the fruit and rolls. The rolls were good. Our waitress then comes back with our breakfast platter, which consisted of bacon, sausage, biscuits, scrambled eggs and potatoes with cheese on them. The potatoes were very good. I was surprised but the eggs were pretty good also. Usually eggs are runny at buffet/family style type places. The bacon was good. The biscuits were not too good. But I am not a biscuit person. I don’t eat sausage but DS and DH said they were good. I was expecting French toast also. Since that is what I read on an online menu. We were greeted by Cinderella, (I was surprised to see her) Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Ariel. DD did not want to take pictures with any of them. She just wanted their autograph and picture.

Overall thoughts:

This is a nice way to meet some Princesses. The overall food was just ok. I was really hoping for French toast. We felt rushed. It seems we eat very slowly because after all the Princesses had visited our section was pretty much emptied. It seems like they seat people in sections here? The other section was full and on our way out there was quiet a few people waiting to come in.

I have a few pics:

This is the platter of food you get, you can also see the fruit.

I have a picture of DH and Ariel. But I like my life to much so won't post it. ;) :rotfl2: We did not get a picture Belle because she had left for a bit.

I'm surprised that french toast is listed on menu's, too, because we definitely did not have any when we went either! That is disappointing, since you had looked forward to it!

How cool that you saw Cinderella!! That would be a treat if we see her, too, when we dine there again in a few weeks.

Thanks for the review!

ETA: www.allearsnet.com also says in bold print that Cinderella will NOT attend PSB, which we know is not true - she does sometimes! :teeth:

Enjoyed reading your review ~ Thanx for sharing.

A real quick question: which dress was Belle wearing? We are going in November.

DD lives and breathes Belle. She was DD's reason for becoming interested in Disney Princesses. DD wants a photo of Belle in the yellow dress.

TIA

Just a question about the kids dressing up in their princess dresses....Are most of them pretty young? We are bringing our 2 GD's in November and they are 6 and 10 and they said they want to dress up in their princess outfits when we go to breakfast. Are there many 10 year olds that dress up? I'm really glad that she wants to...but just wondering if there are others her age that do.

My DD is eight and is rather tall (over 4 feet) and she INSISTS that yes, she will be dressing as a princess EVERYDAY. She only went dressed up a few days and man, she is still upset! She was six at the time. Luckily I sew, so the $$$ won't be that much. Six dresses plus accessories can really add up.

I say, if they want to do it, let. You are on vacation and who is going to say something? Besides, we noticed that you tend to get better treatment if your kids are dressed as characters.

Example: at Akershus, DD was wearing Belle's yellow gown. Belle (in blue & white dress) came up to her and said "You're doing such a good job wearing my gown!" Belle is her favorite and she still brings it up.

I love this one. It is worth the one table service I don't feel that crt is worth 2. My daughter is dressing up as ariel this year

Thanks for the great revue! This sounds great for our 4yr old niece to get her Princess Fix!. All her favorites in one place! Just wonder which Princess she'll decide to be that day!

We ate here too on 9/5 but we didn't have aeriel who DD would have love to seen. Why can't you post a pic of her? I would love to see it. DD dressed up as belle who was also in her yellow gown. The beele we saw was great. She was really pretty and fit the part to a tee. I loved this breakfast as much as CRT even though it's not in the castle.

We asked for pancakes last time and was given a huge platter of them. Belle was in her yellow dress which I loved. Great review!

I think this was better than crt. At crt I felt rushed and it was small. I think we saw 5 princesses in all vs only 3 at crt becaus one was fairy godmother. The food was ok butr I was really there for the princesses
