Aulani at 1pm on a Saturday. This is about what I expected, honestly. Sorry in advance for the less than exciting state of affairs.

Observations
-Not an empty chair to be found with people seeking, using ledges and any flat surface (not per guidance)
-Long lines at all food establishments
-Poolside dining service slammed, based on overheard CMs
-Poor mask usage across property, to include through main lobby (drink toting, not active drinking)

Personally, I would recommend anyone desiring a more relaxing, socially distanced, low crowd experience aim to arrive Sunday and depart Thursday or Friday, at least while the Kama’aina promotion is in effect. We will be canceling our upcoming stay and looking for any non-weekend availability.

I do expect the non-promotion (full price) periods of thanksgiving and Christmas to be different. How much so, I am not sure, but it would be unlikely to be as packed as what we just saw.

Thank you for the report! I will plan to take off-property trips on the weekend, and hopefully enjoy a less crowded resort on the weekdays of our upcoming trip.

Appreciate your honest report - definitely looks like a different resort than what you posted earlier this week. We will be there over thanksgiving....but plan to try to do things off property over the weekend.

Hi. We arrived yesterday and were caught off guard by the number of people as well. Bell Services told us Friday was even worse so it was good we arrived when we did. I’m hoping things settle down a little during the week but with the mid-week holiday I’m not sure. We are really happy to be here and I want Aulani up and running again, but honestly they seemed to have overwhelmed themselves with this Kama’aina special. People were pulling wagons through the lobby loaded with coolers, large giant groups everywhere (some families doing big family birthday celebrations), back ups at elevators, and parking lots completely full with cars lining exit road out of resort, etc. On a positive note, DVC members could self-Park in valet where there were open spots and the arrival at the airport was a breeze with the negative test and questionnaire filled out in advance. We had to show negative test at rental car and again at Aulani on check-in so they are being very safe with confirming negative results for arriving visitors. It’s still early and dark here but nothing beats looking down at the beautiful lagoon lit up in the quiet of the morning.

Not pleased to hear and see this. We always book weekdays, but the occupancy levels look much higher than mainland resorts. 65% is troubling. I thought for sure it would be under 50% or even 25% to start.

Currently here and just wanted to let you know that it’s currently very, very quiet at 3:45pm on sunday the 8th.
I had a feeling Sunday afternoon would calm. We just rescheduled our next stay from a Friday check-in to a Sunday check-in and figure we won't head over until mid to late afternoon.

Question for anyone there - at off the hook (off da hook?) is there still table seating and /or seating at the bar, or is it take out only?

Thanks

They have table seating but no bar seating. You can no longer go up to the bar to order, everything must be ordered via a server.

Is the Luana Lounge open to take a shower on our last day after checking our and before going to the airport? Also, does anyone know if they still offer in room babysitting?

I'm not sure about in room babysitting but the lounge is currently not available.

What a difference a day makes. Loving the tranquility of Monday. Just finished lunch at Roy’s which was delicious. Spent the morning at Pearl Harbor. Lots of space in the lazy river between rafts so after a short nap, we are heading down for a relaxing float

It rained off and on Monday 11/9 , so there were no crowds after the down pours began- before that no chairs available. Hoping Tuesday brings less people.

Any on-premises rumors on when things like Little Opihis and Mama's Snack Shack will open?
