Aulani Split Stay

Has anyone done a split stay on Aulani? We will be there for 7 nights in a Grand Villa with 10 people total, then just the 3 of us will be back a week later (after a week on the Big Island) for 2 nights due to flight timing. I was curious if there were any useful tips for those planning a split stay.
