Best "extra" activity to do while at Disney

As a "cheap" extra to occupy a short time in the World Showcase, you've always got Pick a Pearl in the Japan Pavilion. It's only $17 but is a good time killer. :)

All of these suggestions are GREAT - another one that we enjoy (or at least DD and I) is doing afternoon tea at the Garden View Tea Room at the GF. We dress up a little and we feel just a little extra special, even though its just a tea service. Our other favorite "extras" I think are the Wishes fireworks cruise and just renting a pontoon and cruising around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon.

Years ago, my kids and DS did the snorkeling in the EPCOT tank in the Living Seas (no ticket to EPCOT necessary). They also did the parasailing at the Contemporary. And we did the Segway tour - one in EPCOT and one in Fort Wilderness. One year my boys did the NFL experience in WWoS, but I don't know if it's still there, or worth it.

Ideas that I would love to try:

5. Dine with an Animal Scientist at Sanaa (if they're into animals/science)

I enjoyed the "Dine with an Animal Specialist" at Sanaa, as well. It costs just a little more than a regular lunch at Sanaa (good food!) and you can ask them tons of questions about the animals. We also got to watch a training session with some of the birds, and also got to "meet" a radiated tortoise.

I do agree with Cirque also. I used to work as an usher there. I had seen it twice a night for quite a few months. It's a great show.

mini golf at the two different mini golfs, watch the water parade from polynesian, bike ride at Fort Wilderness.

My favorite "extra" would be a tour but you almost need a longer trip to take advantage as you are giving up park time. For something in the parks, I would also do "pick a pearl" or a special Epcot Dinner. My favorite is Monsieur Paul but that is because the only restaurant around here I can't find is French and my Grandmother is French and was an excellent cook.

also horseback riding at fort wilderness, or carriage ride pulled from a horse, or a wagon ride pulled by horses. So much to do at WDW!
