Bring fishing poles to HHI?

We are heading to HHI this weekend, we have our own fishing poles. Will it be inconvenient to bring our own? I know they rent them there, but would rather bring our own. Can you fish from the resort pier? If we take them to the beach will they be allowed on the bus?

Yes, you can fish from the pier. It's up to you if it is convenient to bring them along. They do have them for rent.

I take mine every year. I have never fished from the beach, but have seen others. I usually fish off the pier or the bank at the resort and have always had really good luck with small fish and crab. Have fun!

we had a great time, even though it rained, caught several small fish off the pier, brought our own poles and bought shrimp bait there. Many places to fish at the resort. Cant wait to go back.
