I think he was going for a slightly spooky Halloween thing, but all I hear is Rozs voice: Im watching, Wazowski, always watching
On the way there, we stopped for our first food of the trip: Chilis!
Wingnut: You are not taking food pictures yet. The trip hasnt started yet. We havent even left our state.
Me: Oh yes, the trip has most certainly started. Weve left home let the pictures begin!
Mmmm, that food from Chili's look delicious...and I for one am so glad you started this trip off right, with food porn right away!
I love the bananas!!! You two are so fun!!!
What was Wingnut thinking? Of course, the trip has started....it starts the minute you step out the door! I had heard of the writing on banana trick but have never tried it. Too bad his Dad didn't have more of a reaction.
Oh yes, the food pictures begin the minute the trip starts! And Chili's has such yummy food, it's hard not to photograph it.
I had no idea about the toothpick and the banana. I'm going to have to try that!
Agreed - vacation starts the minute you leave your home property!
Also agreed - one must order those egg rolls at Chili's!
Funny banana trick - I've not heard of that before.
Let's go to Disney!!!
Silly Wingnut! Of course the vacation already started!
Actually I go by the rule that vacation starts the second I walk out the door from work! He wouldn't be too happy with me! I'm the one who would be taking a picture of my car before I get in it with a caption of First 'ride' of vacation!
LMAO! That message on the bananas cracked me up. I really need to try that.
And I hear you on the egg rolls at Chili's. They are AMAZING.
It seems that you and I have very similar packing methods! Although in addition to the pacing and list making, I also find 73 other things that I MUST DO.
AVOCADO EGGROLLS? Those sound phenomenal.
HAHAH, banana messages. Who knew? I must try that.
You know as soon as I get home I'm going to write on the banana's.
Yeah! You Started! I am definitely along for the read.
This is so me.
HI there I've been a lurker on your other TR's. Just wanted to let you know I'm here Planning a Disney Wedding seems like fun. That banana trick is really cool. -Amanda
Hahaha the bananas!! I'll have to do that next time my mom has bananas. It could freak her out pretty good I think.
I so want to try your nana writing feat! I think I'll write OUCH! It's amazing what you learn here!
I agree with everyone else, it's not too soon to start snapping photos of your food when you are enroute to your destination. Yummy southwest egg rolls and chipotle fajitas. Yummmm..... I took photos of my food in Vegas but then realized I was at a client dinner. Oops!
Looking forward to reading all about your hilarious adventures because I know there are more waiting for us!
I'm in the queso camp. No one else in my family would eat the egg rolls with me.
Love the banana (am I the only one who hears Gwen Stefani when I write/type banana?) trick! Maddie and I will have to try that! Too bad Mr. Wingnut was underwhelmed, still fun though!
I did walk and wear...
and then I took the 3D glasses home with me.
Sittin' in the middle, slurpin' a drink, walkin' and wearin', and swipin' the rockin' awesome glasses. Yeah, I am that bad! (Is there a tough-looking smiley wearing a black and white jail suit?)
Joining in. Great start to your TR! Can't wait to read more.
Oooh, that banana/toothpick thing sounds like fun! I don't think bananas stick around long enough in our house for the message to show up, but I think I'll try it anyway.
I've only been to Chilli's once (I know, I know!) and I was kinda disappointed, but put avocado in anything and I'll eat it!
I think there is going to be a phenomenon of bananas with words showing up in kitchens all over the place, now. Good work!!
HAHA!
I never thought about writing words on bananas like that! LOL
I'm sure I will ebd up trying it, when i have bananas again!
One of my favorite movie lines. Ranks right up there with "Bueller? Bueller?". I have such uneducated taste. I know.
I didn't know that about the bananas. See, you DO learn something new on the DIS everyday.
Can't see your pics now, but I am sure that Chilis was delish!
You had me at the word "cake" in your TR title. I cannot wait to hear all about the Disney wedding planning - SO exciting!!
Love this! One time at the Flying Fish, my mom and I were taking photos of our plates, and the server says that it's always the biggest compliment to the chef when people take photos of the food. I was just thinking, "You obviously haven't met many trip reporters. We take photos of EVERYTHING - from the plates at Flying Fish to the wrappers at McDonald's."
I was also laughing at your secret banana messages...I'm gonna have to try that.
Can't wait for the next update!!
The trip most definitely starts the moment you leave the house and all food requires a picture!!
Love the writing on the banana! Never knew you could do that!
Sarah- I too am in agreement with the majority here...
Sorry Wingnut, but the vacation most definitely begins upon walking out your door...
Chili's Chips are addictive too... I think they put something in them...
Hmmm... we normally have a couple of bananas in our kitchen... (lots of smoothies and Ems does get charlie horses (potassium thing) )... I'm going to have to go on down and give that banana writing a try...
I just bought some new bananas today.
WOOT! Sorry it took so long to get over here, I'm up to my ears in my own TR and then PTR! Off to sub read!!!!!!
