Checking in opening day DOCKSIDE

Is there a special ceremony for the grand opening? We are checking in on March 17 at Dockside and my kids are excited we will be the first to stay there.

We were scheduled to go opening day - had to change our reservation to cabana volcano suite - we were very happy with our room we managed to stay the last 3 days before covid closure

Ok. That's what I thought. Someone above said they were checking in on March 17. So, I was confused.

We are staying there August 2021.
