Lord of all creation
Of water, earth and sky
The heavens are your tabernacle
Glory to the Lord on high

God of wonders beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe declares Your Majesty
You are holy, holy
Lord of heaven and earth
Lord of heaven and earth

Early in the morning
I will celebrate the light
When I stumble in the darkness
I will call Your name by night

God of wonders beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe declares Your Majesty
You are holy, holy
Lord of heaven and earth
Lord of heaven and earth

Hallelujah to the Lord of heaven and earth
Hallelujah to the Lord of heaven and earth
Hallelujah to the Lord of heaven and earth

God of wonders beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
Precious Lord, reveal Your heart to me
Father holy, holy
The universe declares Your Majesty
You are holy, holy, holy, holy

Hallelujah to the Lord of heaven and earth

Hey Fur, maybe ya oughta give a little intro to any new folks that might pop into the thread so they know what it's all about. :teeth:

Show Me Your Glory/ Third Day

I caught a glimpse of Your splendor
In the corner of my eye
The most beautiful thing I've ever seen
And it was like a flash of lightning
Reflected off the sky
And I know I'll never be the same

Show me Your Glory
Send down Your presence
I wanna see Your face
Show me Your Glory
Majesty shines about You
I can't go on without You, Lord

When I climb down the mountain
And get back to my life
I won't settle for ordinary things
I'm gonna follow You forever
And for all of my days
I won't rest 'til I see You again

Show me Your Glory
Send down Your presence
I wanna see Your face
Show me Your Glory
Majesty shines about You
I can't go on without You, Lord

Haven't stopped in in awhile and thought I'd say hi and sing a little bit! :)

SHOUT TO THE LORD

My Jesus, my Savior, Lord, there is none like You;
All of my days I want to praise the wonders of Your mighty love.
My comfort, my Shelter, Tower of refuge and strength;
Let ev'ry breath, all that I am, never cease to worship You.

Chorus
Shout to the Lord, all the earth, let us sing
Power and Majesty, praise to the King;
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name.
I sing for joy at the work of your hands,
Forever I'll love You, forever I'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You

Happy Friday Everyone!

I WILL SING PRAISES

Father God
I wonder how I managed to exist
Without the knowledge of
Your parenthood
And Your loving care
But now I am Your child
I am adopted in Your family
And I can never be alone
'Cause Father God
You’re there beside me

I will sing Your praises
I will sing Your praises
I will sing Your praises
Forever more

I will sing Your praises
I will sing Your praises
I will sing Your praises
Forever more

So nice to see this new one, Jennifer, your first was so nice to visit every so often. :sunny:

I Wanna Sing

I wanna sing of Your mercy
I wanna sing of Your love
And tell the world I'm grateful
For everything that You have done
I wanna sing of Your kindness
Wanna share the good news
As long as I can sing
I wanna sing about You

Grace so amazing
I can hardly understand
How You forgive me
And accept me as I am
I can't believe the way
You work in my life
I would be craze
If I kept this all inside

Repeat chorus

Hope for tomorrow
And a passion for today
Joy in the sorrow
Cause You're with me all the way
Oh and You gave Your life
To show that You care
This is the music
That I want so much to share

Repeat chorus

I want to make a difference
Want to rise above the noise
With the kind of words I choose to use
Each time I lift my voice

Jesus Loves Me
_
Ephesians 3:17-18 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height--
Words: Stanza 1, Anna B. Warner, 1860. Stanzas 2-3, David Rutherford McGuire.
Music: William B. Bradbury, 1862
Because of its easy tune and simple lyrics, this is often one of the first hymns missionaries teach new Christians.

Jesus loves me! This I know,
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong;
They are weak, but He is strong.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me! This I know,
As He loved so long ago,
Taking children on His knee,
Saying, ?Let them come to Me.?

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me still today,
Walking with me on my way,
Wanting as a friend to give
Light and love to all who live.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me! He who died
Heaven?s gate to open wide;
He will wash away my sin,
Let His little child come in.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus loves me! He will stay
Close beside me all the way;
Thou hast bled and died for me,
I will henceforth live for Thee.

Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

For those interested in the background of this hymn, it originally appeared as a poem inside a novel, Say and Seal, which Anna Warner co-authored with her sister Susan. In the book, the words are spoken to a dying child, and in that context, there is another stanza not commonly found in hymnals:

Jesus loves me! Loves me still,
Though I?m very weak and ill,
That I might from sin be free
Bled and died upon the tree.

My daughter sang Jesus Loves Me to her grandmother before she left for Japan. She included the last verse. Her grandmother is in a nursing home and at this point we don't know how much longer she'll live. Jamie sang this knowing it very well might be the last time she would ever see her grandmother alive.

Ray, thank you so much for that song and the history of it. I love that scripture as well. It is so good to see you! Thanks for posting. I hope you will again! :)

Lisa, that is so awesome about your daughter!

Hi Dan and everyone else! :)

Over all the earth, You reign on high
Every mountain stream
Every sunset sky
Lord my one request
Lord my only aim
Is that You reign in me again

Lord reign in me
Reign in Your power
Over all my dreams
In my darkest hour
You are the Lord of all I am
So won't You reign in me again

Over every thought
Over every word
May my life reflect the beauty of my Lord
'Cause You mean more to me
Than any earthly thing
So won't You reign in me again

Lord reign in me
Reign in Your power
Over all my dreams
In my darkest hour
You are the Lord of all I am
So won't You reign in me again

I read this last weekend to the 10th graders at a retreat that we were on.......I also made cross shortbread cookies for all (100)of them, and they frosted and decorated and ate them at their tables. They really enjoyed the poem while they were enjoying their cookies.

A Coss To Bear
When I open my bible and I see the cross
I must say for words I am at loss
It seems so cruel so grisly so cold
The tears run freely as the story unfolds
I try to imagine what you went through
But nothing comes clear to what you had to do
To nail a man and hang him up on a tree
Then leave him to die for all to see
Is so barbaric it doesn't seem real
I wonder how Barbados looking on did feel.

Did he turn away or stand there and grin
Did he realise Jesus was taking our sin
There was no compassion for the son of man
They left him there naked on a tree to hang
Blooded and fouling a gross thing to see
Jesus done this to save you and me
His aching body so battered and torn
This was the reason Jesus was born
Because this doesn't happen in our present day
We can never understand the price he had to pay

Yet in roman times this was common place
To crucify anyone was total disgrace
When you read of the things that Jesus went through
Do you turn away like Barbados did do
Or do you gain an insight to the scorn and shame
The description when Jesus called out God's name
My God my God why have you forsaken me
Abandoned and lonely what a sorrowful plea
A crown of thorns adorned his head
And after 9 hours our Saviour was dead

To die in this way it was God's will
For Jesus to die on Calvary's hill
But the story does not end quite there
Out of all that our Lord had to bear
After three days he rose again
Arising in radiance he was no longer in pain
Giving life eternal for all who believe
In being born again they can receive
The Holy Spirit it's for you and me
Look into the bible its in John 3.3

Hey Lynn! :) Thank you for sharing that poem! How cool that you made cross shortbread cookies! :) That is a LOT of cookies.

When I survey the wonderful cross
On which the Prince of Glory died
My richest gain I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride

See from His head, His hands, His feet
Sorrow and love flow mingled down
Did ever such love and sorrow meet
Or thorns compose so rich a crown

Oh the wonderful cross
Oh the wonderful cross
Bids me come and die
And find that I may live again
Oh the wonderful cross
Oh the wonderful cross
All who gather here
By grace draw near and bless Your name

Were the whole realm of nature mine
That were an offering far too small
Love so amazing so devine
Demands my soul, my life, my all

Oh the wonderful cross
Oh the wonderful cross
Bids me come and die
And find that I may live again
Oh the wonderful cross
Oh the wonderful cross
All who gather here
By grace draw near and bless Your name

Jesus, we bless Your name
We bless Your name!

Jill, thank you for posting that song in memory of Shirley on the other thread. It meant so much.

I will be yours you will be mine
Together in eternity
Our hearts of love will be entwined
Together in eternity
Forever in eternity

No more fears of pain in our eyes
No more fear or shame
For we will be with you
Yes, we will be with you
We will worship
We will worship you

We will worship You Jesus
Forever in eternity
Forever

When peace like a river attendeth my way
When sorrows like sea billow roll.
Whatever my lot,
Thou hast tought me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.

It is well
With my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come.
Let this blest assurance control;
That Christ has regarded
My helpless estate
And hath shed his own blood for my soul.

It is well
With my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul.

My sin, oh the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole
Is nailed to the cross
And I bear it no more
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

It is well
With my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul.

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight.
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll!
The trump shall resound
And the Lord shall descend!
Even so, it is well with my soul!

It is well
With my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul.

CRB, thank you so much for posting that song. It means a lot to me, especially today.

........In the words of the prophet Isaiah, “Lift your eyes and look to the heavens who created all these. He who brings out the starry hosts one by one and calls them, each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.”

The same creator who names the stars also knows the names of the seven souls we mourn today. The crew of the shuttle Columbia did not return safely to earth, yet we can pray that all are safely home.

May God bless the grieving families and may God continue to bless America.

---President Bush

When the storms of life are raging,
Stand by me
When the storms of life are raging,
Stand by me
When the world is tossing me
Like a ship upon the sea
Thou Who rulest wind and water,
Stand by me
