So close……

It seems like most update that we saw recently are for existing members.. wonder if any new membership have been created for people closing after 4/28

I was looking for some clarification about the FIRPTA tax (International Weller). I thought that the seller was responsible for paying this. I just received my closing documents and it has a section on it and from what I am reading it looks like it wants me to hold funds for that. I have a question into the title company however I asked about this before I purchased it and was told it was the sellers responsibility

I’m in ROFR for a contract with a UK seller. The selling agent told me I had no responsibility and that the title company would hold the tax in escrow. Who are you going through?

Mason and Fidelity, however they all just got back to me and they said it was a mistake with the paperwork.

I have a question about my closing documents. They are out of office until Monday so I can't get an answer until then from the title company.
I am using Monera to finance, however, there's nothing about that in the closing documents, only wiring instructions for the full amount. Is that a typo? Should Monera be in contact with me already?

Yes, that is a big error. Did you mark that you would be financing with Monera when you submitted your offer?
That should have triggered them to connect with you.

I would reply and let them know you are financing with Monera to get that corrected asap.

Anyone using DVC title & Escrow?
First time using them and not satisfied thus far (sent one email that went to spam then hounded my broker for my down payment like a bill collector). Curious if others are waiting on their docs from them

Interesting. That's the one that Cammy Smith from Mason just switched to. People said great things about her prior to the switch, so I think some people might have contemplated following her.

Quick update, I got one email with just the access code so I had to chat with DVC to get my member# and call MS to get my Club ID to get my account created.. not sure if this is a thing..

After calling MS they also confirmed that getting points loaded may take a week.. they said the the points load are being delayed... may need to call again tomorrow and or hopefully points get loaded by itself..

but still at least I can see the availability so its helping with the planning

Same type of contract here. It is the seller that will be responsible. The money will be held by the title company from your sale payment to pay the international taxes. You technically pay it as part of the overall sale if that makes sense.
