Cont from the last post.....
We headed out of Epcot to BC resort, it took us awhile to figure out how to get to Beaches and Cream without going through the pool area. I didn’t think we could go through the pool because we were not staying there. We finally found a route to get there. Our ADR was at 11:10 so we did get right in. I had never been in here. Such a cute place but like everyone says it is very small.
We had a very nice waiter, he brought us ice water right away and let us review the menu. We decided to share today because we wanted a sundae. We started with the loaded fries, there are different choices and we went with the cheese and bacon fries. These were loaded with cheese, bacon, onion, and a peppercorn ranch. The fries were very good, hot and fresh with a good amount for sharing.
We decided to share the Chicken sandwich, this was grilled chicken with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and ranch dressing. Do you see a theme here. Andi loves ranch dressing. This sandwich was delicious, it sounds so basic but the bun was fresh, lettuce was crisp, bacon was done perfectly and the grilled chicken was done perfectly. I was very happy with this choice. We so often split a burger and this was a nice change. During our lunch, 2 different parties ordered the kitchen sink, so this was fun to watch the lights flickering and the ceremony that happens before the delivery of the kitchen sink. The one party that ordered it was 3 late teen girls and they ate a few bites and spent the rest of the time on their phones why girls, such a waste, oh well to each their own.
Andi and I decided on the Fudge Mud Slide for our sundae. This has a nice chewy brownie covered with hot fudge and 3 scoops of vanilla and Oreo cookies, whipped cream and more chocolate sauce. This was so good. I haven’t had a sundae in ages so I really enjoyed this. I would say we put a pretty good dent in it.
I was full and happy when we left. Andi’s friend from Minnesota had arrived with her mom at the Swan. They were so happy to be here out of cold Minnesota, they were at the pool area waiting for their room to be ready. We walked over to visit with them for awhile, it was so nice, do I dare say it was actually really hot sitting by the pool with them.
We made plans to meet them later at DS, they were not starting in parks until tomorrow so this worked well for us. We didn’t know if we would get to DS this trip so I was happy to shop and eat with them this evening. Andi and I walked back to Epcot, we didn’t spend much time in the WS, we planned to do that another day. We decided to do the Visa meet and greet instead of Character Spot because the FP line was long and we were not feeling the wait. The Visa greet was so fun as usual. We always have a good character experience here. Today, it was Minnie and Pluto.
We decided to head out after this, I had wanted a pp in front of the park with the Festival arts decorations but the pp wasn’t there on our way out. Oh well, maybe tomorrow. We did get this one before heading to the Visa meet.
Monorails were great for us this trip, never had to wait long, almost always were able to sit and no breakdowns yay!
Stay tuned for Day 2 Part 2. A new dining experience with friends!
