Everyone bear with me this is my first review of any kind.
So we arrive! This is the moment Ive been waiting for, for months, ok years! I wait in line to check in and Im in luck the rooms ready! We walk down and see our room, a beautiful corner room with a water view! Yesss, weve been upgraded! NOO Its a King room, Im not sleeping in the same bed with my mother. I love my mother but not that much. So we trek back to the lobby and Im in line again. We get our room changed but its not ready, thats ok, well wait, plus were starving.
We were on the free dining plan and I planned every counter service, table service, and snack to a tee. But, were starving so that planned snack is not going to happen. We enter Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory and we decide well pay out of pocket for some counter service. I used my Disney reward dollars to purchase refillable mugs and we fill them up right away. I order my meal and I decide on chicken fingers and fries, my old standby. My mom chooses the chicken parmesan. Once we find a table I begin to take some pictures of the food, and so it begins, I received strange look number one. People really think youre crazy when you photograph your food!
I will rate counter service meals under three headings service, size, and quality.
SERVICE: The service we both received was good; the lines for the food service as well as the cashier were quick and painless.
SIZE: The size of the chicken fingers were large and there were plenty of fries. My mother thought her chicken parmesan could have been bigger but the amount of pasta was perfect.
QUALITY: The chicken fingers were very good and freshly prepared. The fries were also fresh and warm but a bit too salty for my taste.
The chicken parmesan was good, my mother enjoyed the sauce, and were Italian! The bread that accompanied the dish was soggy on one side and crunchy on the other, ick!
The breakdown:
Chicken Finger basket: $7.13 <including tax>
Chicken Parmesan: $8.51 <Including tax>
Total: $ 15.64 <Paid OOP>
Rating: out of 5 's
