My daughter is 3. She has to be at all of the recitals and instudio rehersals. She is too geeked over this and Tim wants her to be there. I have an issue with my daughter being there for many hours without me 4 nights in a row. I probably should have mentioned that.

I just met with a lady whose MIL had the same surgery and 2 days later she was driving to lansing for a recital her daughter was in. So, if all goes as planned, there may not be as much recovery as I am expecting.

Gina I thought I quoted you before about the engagement story. While I was reading it I was crying. I love engagements, weddings, babies - oh heck I'm a sap. That was great. Beautiful ring, tell him he did a good job:thumbsup2
awwwww..i am a sap too, i totally understand...i still get misty when i think about the whole thing myself. I will certainly tell him you approve :) thank you!

That's right! I totally forgot we will be at the Grand Californian the same time. We will be arriving on Tuesday October 7th (late) and leaving Sunday October 12th on our way back for Maui..we will def meet up!! I have never been to Disneyland before! very excited about it!

yup! its our first trip to DL, and California for that matter. We will be in LA area from the 4th to the 8th and then the 8th till the 12th at DL/GCH! We will certainly meet! :)

I'm trying to check in daily here. I've been doing pretty well for the past few days. :)

I hope everyone has a great Saturday! I have a friend coming over who is pregnant and about 8 days from her due date. She's the one I took wedding pics for about a year ago, and she still needs to order prints for her frames, so we are trying to do that before she has the baby.

I also need to work on the family photos I took for my hair stylist last weekend. And tonight DH and I are going out to dinner with a couple of my co-workers and to see the band that my manager sings in. I've worked with her for almost 4 years now, and I still haven't seen them play! I've never been to the place we are going for dinner, but I have a feeling there aren't a ton of healthy selections. I'll do the best I can do.

Tommorow we are headed to the Indy Zoo again to take my FIL to see the koalas that are only there for the summer. It's his Father's Day gift.

In other words, busy weekend for me! I don't know that I'll be checking in here tomorrow, but perhaps I'll be able to post a few pics next week from the zoo.

Has anyone heard of MONA-VIE?

I have not. What is that? :confused3

Has anyone heard of MONA-VIE?

I have! I dont' know much about it though. My old boss' husband is a chiropractor and he sells it. You can only get it from certain vendors. It comes in this fancy wine bottle and is some sort of juice with all these special vitamins, minerals, and all that stuff that is supposed to make you feel amazing. Sorry I can't be specific. I know that I spent 4 months at their office working for my internship and I think I saw 2 people buy it. I also heard it tastes horrible, but some say it is an acquired taste. Personally, I have a hard time believing that a bottle of that "juice" is going to make me feel any different then just eating healthy and drinking water, etc. But to each his own - some people swear by it! Have you tried googling it?

Hi peeps. I am starting to feel a lot better since my strep (tuesday is when I got sick) I just actually ate last night for dinner for the first time since tuesday night. I didn't eat anything on Wed, Thursday was a bowl of chicken soup, friday was a 1/4 of a club sandwich, sat morning 1/2 piece of whole wheat toast and then dinner we had taco's that I made at home with ground turkey instead of beef, I had two of those. I weighed myself at my mom's house on sat morning and it said I had lost 7 lb but I think her scale was like 2 lb more than WW scale so tuesday I will know the real deal. Not going to eat a lot today, we're going to my brother's for father's day and we're having hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta salad and my SIL is spanish so she's making her rice and beans (smiley licking lips) and then I got ice cream and apple pie for dessert. Although I feel a lot better I still don't feel 100% so I'm going to do well today.

Have a peep day everyone, talk to you tomorrow morning.
Laura

Happy Father's Day!!!

I don't think we have any fathers (Aaron? do you have kiddos?)

Anyway, WE are the one's making this day semi-special for our husbands and dad's so it's a day of good-natured slavery (all my DH needs is a BELL to ring if he needs a snack or cold beverage) as my kids are not putting forth very much effort.

Luckily, we have no bells or I'd grow very weary of answering his call and have to tell him where to shove said bell. ::yes::

The whole family (minus me) is watching the new Indiana Jones box set...which is not the real gift. He wanted a wii which is NOT available anywhere around here so he got an IOU!!!! ;) and a butt load of peanut m&m's and some Polo shirts...my kids only influenced the Indiana Jones DVD set, the little angels.

I'm in my cave reading the first of the Outlander series.Which is basically mommy-porn set in 1743 Scotland. My ohhh my.

Diet is going FABULOUSLY...to keep on topic. Oh, except the smidge of a piece of birthday cake (my worst nemesis) at Spongie's youngest's 3rd b-day party yesterday. It was from COSTCO, people! What am I? Wonderwoman? Who could resist a peice of Costco cake? I wonder if they sell the chocolate mousse filling stuff by the vat? :headache:

An old client of mine came by and "showed" us it. We tasted it and she left us a bottle. I'm currently drinking NONI for extra health supplements. So, I'm game to try stuff. It doesn't suck, but it's not like you drink a glass of it, just and ounce like if you were taking a vitamin.

I honestly have to say, that for 2 nights in a row, my legs haven't hurt. And they hurt all the time.

Just curious as to how many people have heard of it? Without having to google.

It's company is based out of Jordan, Utah.

HAYYYY! Did I hear Utah mentioned?

Funny, I've never heard of it. :confused3

Our Costco sells bottles of mystery potions with a big long list of cures and benefits. Noni, Hoodia and such.

So how was all the peeps weekend???? Kinda of quiet on the peep thread I guess everyone was busy myself included! I had another dreadful weekend eating wise!!!! Friday after my fiance got out of work it was so nice out that we went to this Mexican restaurant downtown and sat outside for hours drinking margaritas and eating guacamole and chips! :scared1: Then Saturday I woke up went to the gym and then we ran some errands in Soho....we were suppose to go to the Met Game Saturday night and the skys just opened up right as we were suppose to leave to get the train to the game so we turned right away and just stayed in...staying in included ordering chinese food and drinking wine!!!! :scared1: then to top things off my parents had their annual bbq for father's day at their house I wasnt totally terrible but I was an angel either!

:furious: anyway i am so mad at myself! and can hear Jillian Michael screaming at me to get my workout on, so that is what I am going to do..

its a 103 days until my wedding, Kleinfelds called me Friday and told me my wedding dress is in and its time to make an appt for my first fitting.

anyway as frustrated as i am about my eating performance this weekend i am super motivated to get back on track! eating bad is really not worth it..i feel bloated, my fingers are bloated, i slept late today ( i never do) and i dont feel like wearing any of my skinny clothes..booooo going to try and keep this in mind next time i decide to eat bad foods..

hope everyone had a great weekend!

Don't feel bad! Just get back on track. Drink lots of water this week!! You can do it!!

I had chinese last night for dinner too! ( at least I ordered it with no MSG ) and I had ice cream. I ate really bad yesterday. But I thought I have done so well the last two weeks I deserved to have a treat. It's back on track today and I am drinking lots and lots of water.

Have a good week everyone!! :)

i was OK this weekend..better than the last week! but i am all about being on board starting today..i totally agree with feeling crappy after a bad eating binge! i hate swollen fingers..esp.now with my engagement ring..i swear every morning it feels tighter if i ate badly the day before..NOT GOOD!

LMO, I am so with you. Friday night I was terrible... pizza, regular beer, chips. I did okay on Saturday, and Sunday I ate very little but did not do well on beer (at least this time it was light, and I stayed at 1200 cals).

Checking in real quick~

Wendy~ I've read (and now own........) all of the Outlander series. Sooo good. I also have a smaller book about Lord John. I like the fact that it's historical, she does a really good job with the research and really takes you there while you read.

Friends of ours got married on Sat. I drove DH up on Thurs so he could get his tux and do a few other things and I drove over Fri night. We had a great time and our friends were thrilled we were there. DH was a complete goofball and had all of us in stitches. I'm not sure her family liked us much but........ hey, our friends love us and we don't have to see her family very often.

Father's Day turned into a very lazy affair. We got back really late and slept in a bit. We watched a few things on TV, took a nap and then went to the drive-in movies. It was another late night but we enjoyed ourselves. I fell asleep for a few minutes during the last movie (Hulk) but really only missed the big fight scene at the end. That was DH's pick and he wasn't surprised that I nodded off.

Diet~wise: What diet? I've been eating fairly ok but I'm not really motivated to stick with any hard core plan. I've been maintaining my post WDW weight........ I will get my life together and stick with a plan some day. I know I've been pre-occupied by a lot of things lately. It's all been adding up and making me feel stressed out. I keep telling myself when XX happens I'll fel better but something always takes it's place. I need to start looking forward to positive things and not just the hurdles in my future.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Oh Costco cake - I understand;)

So how was all the peeps weekend?

I didn't do to bad read below. That chinese sounds real yummy though.

That's how a tell if I need to drink more water by the way my rings fit on my finger, see it's really a good thing;)

Well peeps like I said we went to my BIL for a picnic. I had a hotdog, 1/2 cheeseburger (DD2 didn't eat 1/2), spanish rice and beans (my SIL is puerto rican and they were calling my name, they were goooooood) and my mom made pasta salad. I also had some yogurt. A piece of apple pie, not too big and a scoop of chocolate ice cream. That's it all day. I just got back my appetite back from being sick so I'm very curious to see what the scale says tomorrow at WW. Talk to you guys later. Now I think DD has strep:faint:

Nope, no kids for me! I'm one half of a happy DINK couple. Well, unless you count the pooch. But all she gave me yesterday was a sock that she stole out of the wash basket and brought to me.

I did pretty good this weekend. The in-laws fried out chicken breasts yesterday (and when people from Wisconsin say "fried out", we mean on the grill since we have fry outs instead of barbeques), so I made sure I took the smallest one and I weighed it before I ate it. So I don't think I went over my points. But I guess we'll see if the scale agrees with me on Friday.

Speaking of which, here's the latest July 4th update. Let me know if I goofed...

Of course you count the pooch. That's so cute she brought the sock back to you, we never had dogs that did that they usually took the sock and chewed it to pieces:lmao:

Fur-babies count, Aaron!

By the way, a part of me is insanely jealous of your DINK-ness.

If I could JUST be a DINK for one day, I'd nap! :cloud9: (The 19 year quest for the uninterrupted nap) *sigh*

Punkin Had a crisis this weekend and did not mail $ to your sister but I will mail tomorrow. Crisis info below.

To all those peeps who may remember my saga of the 22 year old boyfriend prospect of my 16 year old daughter..... well.... I got blasted this weekend that my daughter is pregnant. Although she wont admit it, I think she did it on purpose to prove a point to her mama. She once told me that she would have her way and that she was going to date him. Then we had the crying episode when the boyfriend didnt want to talk to her anymore and some how we have ended up here. I am heartborken. I feel like I have failed as a mother and that this power struggle that I have been having with my teenager and its current results are my fault; although, I dont know how I would have handled anything differently. My husband keeps telling me "Sometimes things happen that we do not chose and we learn to embrace them". So as I prepare to welcome a new life into my family, I ask for your guidance and your prayers.

On the plus side.... I'm down 3 pounds... although the stressed beyond belief and losing my freaking mind diet is not one that I would recommend.

Much love to my imaginary support group
