Discounts for Non California Residents

Planning time go in November to both parks. Any discounts or special offers for non California residents? I know in Florida we get Florida residency discounts for WDW

Just like the WDW discounts, there are discounts for in state residents, but typically no discounts for out of state.

There aren't any discounts through Disney, but Undercover Tourist sells tickets for a slightly lower price, and they're refundable. They are a legitimate company and lots of people on the boards buy tickets there.

That kinda stinks for us that reside outside of The Golden State.. Disney knows that a discount of sorts will not make or break our decision to visit DL.. Once we decided it is DL or bust it is batten down the hatches, arm the torpedos , full steam ahead. You want to encourage the locals to visit DL, thus the discounts.

Same principal when it comes to the cost for college tuition. If want to attend an out-of-state university be prepared to pony up the $$$. Then again, in-state tuition is crazy high.

There will typically be a hotel discount for late Nov-mid Dec. Other than that, I can't think of anything but maybe others know more. You can also get discounts on tickets through Undercover Tourist and Getaway Today.

For college tuition, it’s a pretty different scenario. In state residents pay lots of taxes which find their way into supporting colleges and universities. If you come from out of state, you’ve got to make up for the lack of paying into that system.

For the amusement parks, local would likely go a few times a year under normal circumstances. So if they don’t continue going, there’s no added ticket sales, and no added food and merchandise revenue. By offering cheap tickets or cheap APs, they don’t get added ticket revenue, but they get lots of extra concession income. The only downside for the park is they use up capacity, so it’s a balancing act.

Not true, they offer California (all California) resident discounted tickets sometimes. They just had an offer for summer/fall of this year.
