Hands-On Build-Your-Own Lightsaber Experience Returns to Tatooine Traders at Hollywood Studios

Guests looking to build their own (cheap) lightsaber can once again roll up their sleeves and mix and match parts to create a custom lightsaber at Tatooine Traders in Hollywood Studios. While the actual experience has been open for years, it never fully recovered from COVID-era protocols that prevented guests from having a hands-on experience.

When it returned during the COVID-era phased reopening, Cast Members would handle the parts instead of allowing guests to partake in the plastic buffet.

That changed recently when Build-A-Lightsaber went back to a hands-on experience. We visited Hollywood Studios recently and found that the experience was back to its pre-COVID state...

Dreaming of Fantasy Springs Details Announced, Countdown Popcorn Will Change Daily

Details have been announced for the Dreaming of Fantasy Springs event at Tokyo DisneySea, which will take place from April 9 through June 30. The event celebrates the countdown to the opening of Fantasy Springs, a new port with sub-lands immersing guests in the worlds of “Frozen,” “Peter Pan,” and “Tangled,” opens on June 6.

Donald’s Quacky Duck City Announced, Pete Character Debuts in Parade

The second Pal-Palooza for Tokyo Disneyland has been announced as Donald’s Quacky Duck City. The first Pal-Palooza, Minnie’s Funderland kicked off on January 10 and will run through March 19. Donald’s Quacky Duck City will take over from April 9 through June 30.

In the past, we here at Laughing Place have had the opportunity to talk about (and even reveal) a wide variety of toys in Hasbro’s Star Wars Lightsaber Forge line. And today, we’ve been given the chance to make even more exclusive reveals from this popular Hasbro series. Below, you’ll find images and details from the new collection of Lightsaber Forge mix-and-match toys– plus one very cute addition to Hasbro’s Star Wars Droidables series– which will all be arriving at major retailers this spring...

STAR WARS DROIDABLES R5-D4 ($19.99) – “Meet the STAR WARS DROIDABLES R5-D4, your expressive, de-stressive sidekick! This 4-inch portable pal is packed with 20+ lights and sound effects inspired by R5-D4 from the Star Wars galaxy. Rock his head forward, backward, side to side, and even in a circular motion to discover more than 20 different reactions – happy, sad, excited, and maybe even some hidden surprises. This interactive R5-D4 figure includes batteries, so kids can start rocking R5-D4’s head and unlocking his sound effects right away. Don't show this to my son or I'll have to buy it :) It looks cool, I like it. Especially the swords are cool!
