The smell from Cape May Buffet just makes me hungry!
@TeenaS We live in Maryland so we cannot bring you a Jersey tomato. But we can bring you some of our home grown tomatoes when we check in on 8/2.
Hello from Anne Arundel county! Our "Maryland" tomatoes this year have been outstanding. Glad you may bring some to Teena, don't think we will still have any at the end of August when we go to BC.
Hello from another Anne Arundel County dweller here!
I live in the Gambrills/Crofton area. My boys (now graduated) went to Mount St. Jo
oh man. I was just reading over on the restaurant board. Folks were talking about Cape May Cafe and then said it made the beach club lobby smell like old seafood/fish smell. I am looking forward to to the light beachy smell you guys have mentioned! I don't want to walk into a wall of old crab leg smell! Am I being crazy for being concerned?
I hate that fishy smell. Honestly, I find it awful to be in the BC lobby and the corridor towards the YC in the evenings. Not only was it crowded with people waiting to be seated, but it had a terrible seafood smell. If you don't mind seafood it probably isn't nearly as noticeable. This is one of the reasons that I personally prefer the YC to the BC. YMMV
I never noticed this smell!! Though now that I think about it, I may never have passed by that way at dinner time.....
Been in BC, morning, afternoons and evening. Been in Cape May, walked past Cape May, and have stood outside Cape May. Why didn't I notice this odor? Guess I'm one of the lucky ones in this matter, or unlucky ones as I love the smell of seafood that has been properly prepared and ready to eat. Guess that's why I always visit Legal Seafood when I'm up in Boston for work. I will make a point of checking this issue out again in December and let you know what I find. The smell from Cape May Buffet just makes me hungry!
Thank you to you and your husband for your sacrafice for us. You deserve all the fun you can get when you are at the World. Hope it is a great vacation.Hello! Been a while since I have checked in here. Lots going on in life. Since we stayed at BCV in January and it was so cold and rainy and the slide was down for yearly repairs and didn't get to enjoy Stormalong Bay, I have us booked in a Lagoon/Pool view at YC from 09/13 - 09/16 before we head over to WL. This was a surprise for DH who really really really wants to go down the slide. And since he has been in Afghanistan since March and returns home on Aug 15 I thought he deserved that fun
Thank you so much JnKinVA for all you and your family do.?......

If you go to the local orchards here in Clermont, you can get real Florida oranges.
WAWA .... it's sort of like a 7-Eleven but way way better. WAWA is a store where if you were northeasters, you grew up getting their hoagies (otherwise known as subs) and coffee. They make the best hoagies ever. They put Subway to shame. Apparently the owner retired to Florida a few years ago and started putting them up all over Florida. When the first sign appeared in Clermont that a WAWA was coming, there was a huge party ... people were talking about nothing else. Bob goes every morning for their breakfast sandwich and coffee. I go at least twice a week for their soft pretzels and hoagies. Jeanne finds a reason to take the car out at least every other day for their spinach salad and soft pretzels. There are a few near Disney now too!! And their gas is always the cheapest around.

Thank you to your husband for his service and to you for your support. I hope you have a marvelous time since you both deserve it!!
My hubby is an ex WaWa corporate employee...the owner did not retire to FL...but the rest is true.hehe! My hubby worked on the project that put the touch screen ordering screens in at the Deli. You can thank him for the options " little bit of oil and little bit of vinegar".
I couldn't stand the smell of Ohana at breakfast, but we have breakfast at Cape May every trip and I never notice a seafood smell.oh man. I was just reading over on the restaurant board. Wow - so many of us! I live in Prince Georges County, but work in Anne Arundel. Sorry to say that after a couple of attempts, I gave up trying to grow a garden. I prefer Tastykakes anyway.
It really was a lot of fun. There were 30 people and we had 3 cast members to follow. We started with MK. You start with the rides at the back of the park after meeting at Tomorrowland Terrace. You place your lunch order after check in. So we started with Splash, then Big Thunder, Haunted Mansion, 7 Dwarfs, had a rest room break, then Space. Also rode Buzz. We went in the fast pass lines and barely waited at all. Went out a back exit by Buzz then over to HS. Ate lunch at HBD. It is a limited menu. It was good, but not a repeat for us. After that we rode Toy Story, Star Tours, RRC then TT. Went in and out an exit by RRC. Over to AKL. Went in by Dinosaur, rode Everest 2 times then Dinosaur. DINOSAUR was our longest wait and that was maybe 10 minutes. They gave us a choice of staying there or going back to MK. Back to MK got us back in by Buzz. They use a van to move between the parks. They provide water, frozen towels and hard candy in the vans. We had a group that was a lot of fun and would do it again if we had the extra money. We currently have annual passes so we didn't have to buy park hopper tickets and we got a discount on the tour.
