I just switched my reservation from Coronado Springs to Yacht Club club level for December 2019. Super excited, it’s my first stay in the Epcot area. Figured the splurge was worth the money, especially if the club level fast pass program is still ongoing and Star Wars land is open.
I'll add your trip to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.
It's been 4 looooong years... but we're going back! Yacht Club free dining 7/25-7/30! Can't wait! I'm so out of the loop! Lots of research to be done!
, my friend!
I am so happy to hear you are coming back!
I'll add you to the list.
Changing my plans from May to August 24 - 31. Decided not to have kiddo miss any extra school this year.
But we'll enjoy being back in August! Yacht Club as we did two years ago
Noted- I'll make the change.
Heading back to YC February 23 - 27! It will be DH and me this time. He is not a big WDW fan, but knows I love it. Work is going to be horrible until February 22, so he suggested we go to WDW the next day. He didn’t have to suggest it twice! I have a water view room with an AP rate. No CL availability. Air is booked, too. Now i just need to book dining. Last year we went in March and it was cool. When DD and I were there last month, it was chilly. Hoping for warmer weather next month.
back!
I'll add your trip to the list.
Heading back to the World Sept 26 - 30 for girls’ trip. This will be my first time in YC and first adults only trip! (Most recent trip was BCV last August with husband and kids.)
back!
Yay for a girls' trip!!!
I'll add you to the list. '
When I heard about free dinning I made reservations at the Beach Club for August 13th thru the 20th. There's 5 of us, myself, wife and 3 kids but now I'm seriously starting to think about changing them for beginning of summer, like mid June. We'd loose the free dinning but gain 30% off room rate. Tough decision but thinking if we mainly did counter service with maybe just a breakfast and dinner at Cape May we might come out ahead. Also wonder if the weather in June might be just a tad nicer, (or at least not as rainy?). Naw, who am I kidding, summer in Florida is summer in Florida
Looking for some feedback. Normally we're pretty content with just counter service, and have had free dinning before and jeez, even the tips can get expensive
Though it is fun to splurge on occasion and free dinning certainly pushes one to look for the expensive restaurants ... on the other hand, just having cs can leave more flexibility and with BC or Yacht Club being so close to Epcot or HS ....
June is my favorite month to visit Disney and you are right, summer is summer, doesn’t matter if it’s June, July, August. Personally, I’d switch to June and eat mostly counter service. On our trip last summer, we decided we are forgoing sit-down meals for counter service meals on our next trip. Money is a big reason, but it’s also the time involved. Honestly, my pre-teens would much rather spend their time riding rides then sitting down for a meal. I feel like Disney has a lot of great counter service options, too (read - more than burgers, chicken fingers, and pizza).
Good luck with your decision. Either way, you’re going to Disney!
This is a great reply!!! ^^^

Sounds like you have a couple of interesting options to choose between:
I have been on a couple of trips of June and 3 in August. Hit or miss on the rain at both of those times, so I wouldn't base a decision on weather.
Our most recent trips have been booked room only instead of the meal plan- we found it more cost effective. With the meal plan, you are spending extra time dining, and sometimes getting more than you actually want to eat since it is "included". Meal portions are huge at Disney and sometimes my family prefers to share an entrée or desserts. But if it is included, then everyone gets one! In the summer, when it is hot, we don't necessarily want large meals. We also love the convenience of the many interesting counter service dining options in the World showcase.
Let us know which you decide to do.
We are booked in a BC deluxe room. Did these room used to be club level and now they are not? I am getting confused when I see old posts saying the deluxe was club level.
Thanks!
Thanks! That's what I figured. Just trying to figure out where the room might be located
Very excited to stay at BC for the first time!
When is your trip?
You are correct- up until recently, the Deluxe Rooms were considered club level and guests had access to the concierge lounge and amenities. I am not sure how the booking of these rooms work now- I believe some are CL and some are not, but I don't know which are which or if you can ask to book CL services for these rooms.
At any rate, these are the Deluxe Rooms at the Beach Club. There is a map on Page 1, Post 8 where you can see where these rooms are.
Detailed balcony information on
Deluxe Rooms from guests who have stayed there and reported back:
There are six deluxe Concierge rooms at BC.
1557 has a patio and lots of windows.
2557 and 4557 have extra large balconies.
3557 has the standing room only balcony.
3691 has both a standing room balcony and a full balcony
4681 has a standing room only balcony.
So 3 of the 6 have full balconies, 1 has a patio, and 2 have standing room only balconies.
