Once again its time for the DVC Christmas Tree, Sharing a Little Magic.

We need A Few Wonderful DVC Members to Donate their Christmas Trees with our Wonderful DVC Members.

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING TO THE THREAD

Please do not PM me with your resorts and dates if you are Not Donating A Tree, Please wait until August 1st.

We need to know how many trees that will be donated before we can take names to add to their tree lists.

The Dates of the Tree passing are open from November 14th to Jan. 9th

I will except names, dates, and resorts up to October 24th.


This is our 8th Year in Passing a Christmas Tree from DVC Families to DVC Families, "Spreading a little DVC Holiday Magic".

We are looking for DVC Families to donate a decorated tree, no bigger then 4 feet please, the perfect size is 2 1/2 to 3 feet. We need at least one or two trees per DVC resort.

In the past we have had up to 4 trees per resort.

If you have questions about donating a tree please send a PM to Elf Jim (magicalmcwho) and he will answer them.

You dont have to donate a tree, you are welcome to pm me with your ID name, resort your staying, and dates. I will do my best to get everyone in on the Magic.

Pick up the tree at Bell Services on the day of arrival after 11 am. There will be a envelope for donations (in each tree box) to help with shipping the trees to & from the resorts.

Please drop the tree off on the date of your departure at 11 am with Bell Services for the next family, also please cross your name off the list on the outside of the tree box.

Also when dropping the tree off with Bell Services, please point out to the CM who the next family that will be picking up the tree.

When time gets closer you will PM me to confirm your dates, resort, and at that time I will also need your first and last name.

I ask if you are staying in two different resorts that you only sign up for one stay, unless your dates are available when time gets closer.

I would like to add to this Info that I do my best to get everyone on the list, I then forward the Families Info to the Wonderful Families that really creates the Magic by donating a Tree. The Wonderful Families that donate a Tree puts special care into their Trees and Ships them to the Disney DVC Resorts. Once the Trees reach the Resorts we have full trust in the Bell Service to keep the Magic going during our " Share a Little Magic". Trees maybe misplaced in the store rooms by an Unfamiliar CM. please bear with Bell Service and please dont spend your vacation tracking down a tree.


If we do not have a Tree listed under a resort, we do not have a Tree donated. I will still add your name to that resort but I can not guarantee a tree for you unless someone donates a tree for that resort.

Do any of you have pictures of the donated trees? This is my first year doing it, and I'd like a template! Also...do you put all the ornaments in the tree box? Or are the ornaments left ON the tree and boxed up? Silly questions probably! Thanks!

Here is the picture of the tree we got thru the tree swap last year at BLT. It was probably 18 inches or so with some disney tiny decorations. It was so much fun to participate! I wish we were going during the holiday season this year so we could participate again. Have fun tree swapping! Just be careful at BLT the tree was lost a few people after us and it needs to be picked up in the convention center when it is shipped in.(I had a terrible time finding it)

This month only people donating trees should notify WDWstar, next month people wanting to have a tree for their room will be able to request their dates. If you read the top of this thread some of the rules are posted. I think that when it opens for requests, the rest of the rules will follow.

Thanks to WDWstar, families can enjoy a Christmas tree in their 'home away from home'.
