Yes, borders should be 12" long.

Yes, toppers bottom mat should be 8x2.

Yes, you can make the Royal & Thursday two separate items. You can make one 8x2 and the other 6x2 or whatever combination of sizes works for you. You can even make the Royal all fancy in individual shadowed letters and the Thursday on the matted topper.

Poem/lyric is okay to exchange for one(1) tag.

This is me, too! I think I know what I want to do for part of it, but I have a question. . .would you all mind if the borders were horizontal? It would work better for what I was thinking of, but I can make it work vertically if you'd rather.

Also, I'm on the lookout for a good sale on Bazzill Bling, if anyone sees one!

I can work with horizontal but I use Cm aslbums so I have to cut a bit off the end Its not a problem as long as there's nothing to break my trimmer!
