Family trip turns solo

We have been planning a family trip down to WDW in Sept. Now less than a month away from our vacation all the plans have gone haywire. It has turned into a solo trip. We had a couple of PS's. Do they need to be redone or just show up as a solo person? I have been reading these boards, so Ishouldn't be, but I am scared, as all my trips have been part of a group of folks. I basically am shy, not very outgoing at all.. I have read all the good points, but I still feel bad (kinda) about going alone.

The only experience with the PSs we've had is a trip originally for 5 that became 4. We just showed up at all our PSs that had been made for 5 and no one seemed to mind that we were really 4. I would guess it would depend on the difference between how many the PS was for and 1. If it was originally for alot more, you might want to call back and change it.
And don't be scared! I'm a rather quiet, country girl type, yet I loved my first solo trip to WDW, have taken 3 more, and look forward to my fifth in November.

I had this problem - well, sorta! I been solo to WDW many times, and I feel weird booking anything for one person, so I always lie and book for two. I do this with hotel rooms and dining reservations. I guess I feel "safer" booking for two. I booked the Cape May Buffet for two, and when I came as a one, it was no big deal.

I am also the shy introverted type (see Muppet below!), and I have usually have had a good time solo. Though honestly, on my last solo trip, I had a few minor problems associated with being solo (stuff like locking myself out of my room, not getting service at Pepper Market), so I am in no rush to go again solo. :( Sorry to be slightly negative, but going solo can have it's ups and downs. But hopefully, you'll have a great time! :)

I'll be here if you would like to meet and have some company for a while.

Have a wonderful time.

SOLO is great, you will have a good time, and YOU WILL have conversations with People, I do!;)

Thank you all for your responses... The PS's were for 3. We were going to go to Ohana's and Chef Mickeys.. It is hard to do much more with a toddler.

I go solo a lot and the only place I have ever had a problem was the Pepper Market! So now I just don't eat there. However, I am probably a little more outgoing. As I left the Pepper Market I found a manager and told him what I thought. He apologized and wanted to try and "make it up to me". I told him that I was gone, but maybe he could do better with other solos!

Having read other complaints about Pepper Garden, your problem being served probably had nothing to do with solo and everything to do with the staff!

Go ahead and give Disney Dining a call and change the numbers of your ps. It couldn't hurt.

I think you are going to enjoy touring WDW solo, I know I enjoy it a lot :)
