This FAQ Addendum is covering a more advanced means of using FPs.I must say as a DLR vet who has never been to WDW. This process seems crazy complicated.
After you book your FPs with the DSS CM, you can go in and change one of your regular FPs to a TSL Attraction.Hello! We go every year, but this will be our first CL FP booking, so I need advice! We are using one CL FP day on Fri. Nov 30. Here is the schedule I am planning. My issue is that we have a Garden Grill ADR in Epcot at 11:35. I could cancel it and grab something in HS, but we'd like to do the Garden Grill lunch, if possible.
9-10 Alien Saucer CL FP
10-11 toy story mania CL FP
11-12 star tours regular FP
12-1 Muppet 3D regular FP
1-2 Voyage of the Little Mermaid regular FP
(These last 3 rides-the kids LOVE them so they are their must dos! )
5:30-6:30 Slinky CL FP
6:20 ADR at Hollywood and Vine
7:20 Fantasmic Dessert Party
My question is do you think we could just walk on Star Tours, and do Muppets 3D and see Little Mermaid after we get off Aliens and before we use our FP for Toy Story Mania? If we get on TSM by 10:15 maybe we could make it to Garden Grill and come back to HS at night for those last 3 things.
Any thoughts on how to maximize all of these FPs? Maybe use some CL FP in Epcot like Soarin if we can do Garden Grill?
Thanks for reading this and your ideas!
Anyone have any tips for using MDE on cellphone while in the parks to make access easy?
Do I have to sign in every time I want to use it?
I've never used MDE in the park before so this is new to me. I have everything all set up from my laptop.
I've asked this before and gotten conflicting answers. I have three FPs booked for Animal Kingdom. If I want to increase the likelihood that I will be able to snag a FOP FP that opens up, do the other FPs interfere with the times I see? What I mean is does the system not show FPs for times that you already have FPs booked? It seems like it does, but maybe that's not true. I'm modifying a Navi River Journey FP, btw.
With modifying it won't show conflicting FP's. When choosing your first 3 it will.
Thank you! And just to be super clear - modifying one of the first three that I have booked - no conflicting times are shown, correct?
Makes perfect sense. Thank you for explaining it!Correct. The system can't handle changing 2 FP's for 1 (dropping the one you are modifying plus dropping the one that would overlap to add 1 FP) so it won't show up. If you were to drop one FP and then just go in to add an additional FP then it would show you all possible times.
Then Select “Continue.”click it then what?
Generally 5 minutes early and 15 minutes late, but is at the discretion of the CM.What is the grace period with FP+?
The 5 and 15 are built into the system. Outside of that it’s then up to the CM.Generally 5 minutes early and 15 minutes late, but is at the discretion of the CM.
My hs day we only want to ride tot and rnrc so do I not need to book any other rides? We’re doing tsl magic morning so I don’t need those rides. Can I just book those two and when would I get my next fastpass? Can I get one as soon as I book another fp?
A second Group 1 attraction in the same park can be scheduled only as a 4th FP or beyond. In other words, scheduling less than 3 FPs for a day in a tiered park is not a shortcut to getting a second Group 1 FP in the same park faster.
Yes, but your next one cannot be another Tier 1 in that park. From the main FP FAQ:
