At this minute, Off Kilter is playing on D-Magic Radio. We've all seen them at the Canada Pavilion, right? It might be of interest to my fellow NE Ohioans that the band often appears in Cuyahoga Falls. I don't think they were in town this year, but they were last year. It was a treat to see them while sitting in a proper chair.
Earlier today I made some Mustacei. That's Must Cakes, to those that speak not the Latin (okay, like me) The recipe is 2000 plus years old. Next time I make them, I'm decreasing the cumin (yes, thats right, cumin...original recipe calls for 3 tsp cumin, I had reduced that to 2 tsp), and increasing the anise. According to the notes I have for the recipe, it should be eaten with a vegetable puree, but I haven't made such yet. You can find the recipe, along with others, in the book, Roman Cookery: Ancient Recipes for Modern Kitchens, by Mark Grant.
Yes, the Caveman *can* cook! You should see what I can do with a nice mastadon.
I'll be writing to some tour bus companies soo to see if they'll be scheduling any DisWorld trips for 2007. Also plan on contacting Amtrak for info regarding their train service down to Orlando and Kiss. I *suppose* I could consider Greyhound as well, but these days, you just don't know what sort of other people you'd be riding with.
And thats it for Post #14 (I think) from the Caveman.
