Hello...LIVE from 30,000 ft above the Atlantic

Just set up another photo bucket account
Good job as we are at The Alehouse!

I also remembered my Capt Jack's Buried Treasure birthday voucher :lmao::thumbsup2

Today was our last full day for this year, at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. We started as usual in Harvest Bistro, for breakfast.

After the previous few days, we were determined to have a 'chill day'. The next few hours were spent just messing about in the pool. The sun was a long time appearing, but when it did, it was quite fierce. To cool off, we sunk a couple of cocktails! :cool1:

Towards late afternoon, we headed back to our room to start packing, in preparation for our early departure to RPR, in the morning.
Packing done, showered and changed, our first port of call was to fuel up at the Hess station (opposite DHS entrance). With that sorted, we then went to OKW to request being located around block 21 for our stay, starting in a few days.
Dining tonight was at Orlando Ale House, on US 192 (near to mile marker 3).
Emma spotted a chalk board outside, advertisng a full rack of ribs.....sorted!

I decided on 20oz Porterhouse with fries and Caesar salad, washed down with a
Bud Light. Sue opted for the traditional English fish and chips.this arrived with a good 6-8 pieces of fish. 2 Rum Punch cocktails also followed.

I had remembered to register my 'Orlando' birthday just before departure and so, printed out a voucher for a free Cap'n Jack's treasure chest dessert.
We decided to share this, as we were all stuffed, :rotfl2:

On the way back home, we had a tremendous thunder and rain storm. Back at the Hilton, we loaded 3 suitcases into the car, in preparation for an early start in the morning.

We never managed a Capt. Jacks this year, I prefer a starter so always too full for dessert.

Lucy, Paul & Lily got caught in MK with the storm, hope the weather is better today. Watch out for them if you are in Universal today, they should be there.

Today will be done over 3 or 4 posts.....I just realised that I have taken over 500 pics today together with HD video :scared1::scared1::scared1:
Internet here at RPR is not the best for uploading :sad2:

What a day have we just had!!!! :cloud9::cool1::banana:
We had an early departure from the Hilton at around 06:30 and headed over to Lowes RPR at Universal. Check-in was very good and quick.

We were issues with our room keys (which would be allocated via text later in the day) and then we made our way over to a machine to print out our Express passes.. This is done by inserting your room key, it then takes your photo and prints out a very poor black and white image onto the pass.

We made the journey on foot to City Walk and decided to tackle IOA for today. Our first stop was to Hogsmeade and to ride The Forbidden Journey. 20 minutes later and we were riding!!!! Once exited, we decided to go again and this time the queue was even smaller

Next up.......Dragon Challange. On the way to the ride, I was told that I could not use my GoPro camera and so had to leave it in the locker:sad2: However, I forgot :rotfl: to take my compact camera out of pocket and managed to shoot an HD video from the front of the ride :cool1:

Emma, who is a HUGE Marvel fan, was in her element, as we hit Marvel Super Hero Island :worship::rotfl2: I am sure that this is going to cost me a few quid when we return in the next few days :scared1::scared1::scared1::laughing:

On the way to Hogsmeade, we passed a few favourites along the way.

As we reached Hogsmeade, the queue for the train to Kings Cross, was surprisingly small and so we took our place in line.

What we were about to experience, will stay in my Florida memories for a very long time.
Without wishing to spoil the experience, for anyone visiting soon, the attention to detail just blew me away. From the moment we boarded the train (which was a 6 seat compartment with sliding door) to arriving at the famous platform, something was happening all of the time. The effects, looking out of the carriage window is something else!

As we stepped onto the platform, it was like being in a time warp! We had a look around the area, and then made our way to Daigon Alley.

Not wishing to miss out on anything, I had read many (what I considered as good and thorough) reviews, yet all of those words combined, seemed to fall short of what lay before us. We had already planned to explore beyond Gringotts Bank in the morning, so here are some photographs of the surrounding buildings, that make this place such..... WOW!!!!

The dragon above Gringott's bank, breathes a huge flame of fire at irregular intervals.

Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short, as we had been invited attend a Back to School gathering at the Hilton. On the way out we caught up,with Beetlejuice's mob
