Hotels near Disney -- fl resident discount

hey all!

I'm heading to Disney sometime in early August & wanted to stay near Disney, not necessarily on site. Does anyone have any recommendations for a reasonably priced hotel close to Disney & wondering if you know any where I could get a FL resident discount.

I would also price out the Marriott Flamingo Crossings hotels, there are two of them. Just a few minutes out Western Way behind CSR.

I'm trying the brand new Home2Suites in a few weeks.

We have one of these hotels near us, but have never stayed at a Home2Suites before. Would appreciate it if you could report back on your experience there!

Will do. I have stayed at a new Hampton Suites/H2S in Louisville several times. It is L shaped with Hampton on one leg and H2S on other leg. Each had their own lobbies and breakfasts but the hallways connect at point by elevators. Shared pool, fitness, firepit etc. We stayed on Hampton side but we walked over to H2S. Very modern and clean. Funny was we only would see 1 or 2 dogs each trip ... even though that is a big element to hotel.

I will take pictures and report back. I like where it is just behind Publix, Freddys and easy shot to the newer Walmart, outlets and any of the parks.

With the kitchenette/suite style it's an option for those who want to make light meals. Microwave, dishwasher, fridge ... dishes, coffee maker, toaster and you can request hot plates to cook from front desk.

I stayed at that Home2Suites last year and I really, really liked it. Hotel and room were very clean, room itself was huge, good breakfast. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!

Thank you. I've been wanting to stay at one since the brand came out ... we are Hilton regulars and this was the best value at Hilton for my dates.
