How many days to visit Vegas?

Hello!

We are debating if we should do 3 or 4 days in Vegas. We are 2 adults.
We would like to basically visit the hotels on the strip and see 2 Cirque shows. We do not care for gambling or going off strip.

Any opinions? Suggestions?

Thanks alot!!!

The longer the better, there is lots to do in Vegas and one thing you do have to remember there is that even though everything seems really close together, it takes some time to get from one hotel to the next, lots of walking, to even cross the street sometimes requires mapping out a route... If you can take the 4 days do it, you won't be bored. Been there lots, feel free to ask any questions you want. Where are you staying?

Thanks for your reply!!!!! I think that we will go with teh 4 days after all!!!!
We still have not booked our hotel, but so far.. for our dates...we could get the Luxor for $70 a night, the Monte Carlo for $80 a night or the Paris or NY NY for $89 a night. What do you think? Thanks!!!!!

I would try to stay center strip, Luxor is very far down one end, if you stay center it will be easier for you to get to everything, out of the choices you have I would recommend Paris (highly) stayed there and it's a really pretty hotel, rooms are nice and clean, great location (center strip). If your looking for less $$ check out Harrahs or Flamingo (recently redone rooms) also great location, if you are looking for higher $$ cross the street to Caesars, but I would stay in the center.

Thanks !!!!
I dont know why but since yesterday all the prices for the Vegas hotels doubled for my dates in September! The Monte Carlo was at $140 ($79 yesterday), Luxor $160 ($70 yesterday!)This is insane! Thank GOODNESS I found a discount code for the Paris for $89 a night! I booked it right away!!!!!!! Thanks again for your great tips! :goodvibes

You won't be sorry, I love that hotel, and perfect location - I guarantee you won't be sorry you booked it. Do the Eiffel Tower if your not afraid of heights. I hear that "Love" is the show to see, I haven't seen it but everyone raves about it- Your Going to have a BLAST!

I am so excited!!!! Actually we were looking into tickets for "O" but I will also look into "LOVE" tickets. I know that we would like to see one Cirque show at least! Thanks again!!!

Can I ask where you got the discount code from? I've tried googling discount codes for hotels but haven't found anything worth having.

TIA

Stay at the Wynn or the Bellagio, it's worth the extra . We visit LV @ least once a year( it only takes us 50 mins from BUR airport). I'm on all the 4-5 star resort mailing lists & go when a good deal is available. Stayed @ the Wynn in April for $169 a night. Their pool is amazing.

The best rooms for the money are at the the newly opened Palazzo. Like the Venetian, they're all suites. Our room there was huge, art deco styling, remotes for all 3 flat screens (there's one in the bathroom) & to open the drapes, desk area w/ a fax machine. But the pool area there is just ok.

Hi there! Thanks for your post, but honnestly, even at $169, its a little too expensive for us. We're quite happy with the Paris at $89 and it fits perfectly with our budget :thumbsup2

Smart Jozymouse- believe me you will be just as happy (if not happier) in Paris, we usually stay at Caesars (we are totally comped) and we have these huge fancy hotel rooms and we are never in them, if I was paying for them I would not be staying there. We get our choice of rooms pretty much on the strip and I love Paris, would stay there again in a heartbeat, clean classy hotel (not a dump)- don't know how the pool is there, but I hear that Ballys (right next door and you have full use of either place) is the best. I think if you want you can go across the Caesars pool too (ask when you check in) if so take a walk across- that pool is phenominal. Don't go for the extra money on the room, use it for entertainment - your not going to be in the room that much and you'll be very happy at Paris.

I think I can provide some advice!:thumbsup2
I'd go 4 days...3 is not quite enough, 5 is too much!
Paris is nice; we are staying there for half our trip in August.
Check out fatwallet.com for GREAT hotel deals. Got Ballys for $50/nt. We often favor Ballys for location, huge rooms and great prices. Rooms are for showering, sleeping, and ;) , IMO. No need to spend extra for fancy rooms. (and I have stayed in 5* hotels)

Be sure to join Harrahs players club, and use the card EVERY time you gamble in their properties. You may even get some charges comped at the end of your stay; be sure to ask before you check out. Join players clubs everywhere you go; you will get gifts/free play, maybe mailings later.

American Casino guide is a value. Go to buy.com, use google check out for $10 off, and it will run you less than $5! Las Vegas Advisor Pocket of Values will run you $37 (w/ a years online newsletter subscription), but it is a good value even at that price (list of coupons at the LVadvisor site)

Have fun!

KKB, thanks for the great tips!!

I already got the American Casino guide for like $10 and its great! As for the rest, i will definetly check out the websites you were reffering to. Thanks alot!:thumbsup2
