I saw this thread on The Dibb and found it fascinating.

The information posted included:

Size of party
Cost of:
flights
accommodation
park tickets
car hire
spending money
extras
and then the total.

I wondered whether Disers would like to share this information too, as it helps people to budget when they are planning their own trips.:)
Also nice to see the great bargains people have had.:thumbsup2

I don't mind having a go but I went in Sept/Oct 2006 and the price of things has shot up sky high since then but here goes:

Size of party - Just DH and I
Cost of:
Flights - £300 each with BA to MCO
Accommodation - £150 for 1 night AKL Savannah view, £1220 for 9 nights at POFQ with park tickets and free dining (when free dining was worth it - we had appetisers and tips included in that), 6 nights villa rental at Indian Creek £320
Park tickets - included
Car hire - £110 for 1 week
Spending money - we spent around £2300 - we had no kids then and we bought everything our hearts desired :cloud9: I think our suitcases (4 of them) were over 110kgs in total :thumbsup2
Total: £4,700

Our trip next year will be very very different and won't spend as much as we did in 2006, in fact we probably couldn't afford it were it not for the kindess and generosity of our friends in Orlando who work for WDW and have great discounts.
