The Festivals are all but indistinguishable from each other beyond the logos and a few (i.e., a handful) of themed displays or activities. They exist now to sell stuff from food booths so they don't lose revenue from people who don't want a sit-down meal.I use to love F&W and went every year! I haven't been since before the pandemic now, and im wondering if i should just give the Festival/Arts a try since it gets really good reviews. Something to think about.
I'm a former F&W fan, who hasn't been since they discontinued the culinary demos. I tried the Festival of the Arts in 2022, and now it's a regular event for me-I really enjoy it.I use to love F&W and went every year! Could you tell which festival you were at if you didn't know, and didn't look at the logos or stores? How does F&W feel any different than F&G?TBH, they are still awesome. Some of us just miss the in person extras. My first festival was in 1994. We've done a couple hundred days in them since. They were on an upward trajectory til maybe the last 5. Still worth the time and money for sure.
The type of food offered is different. F&G takes on a bit more of a 'healthy'/'earthy'/plant-based vibe for it's booth. F&W seems a little more decadent (I know I'm oversimplifying a bit, just trying to make a quick point).Could you tell which festival you were at if you didn't know, and didn't look at the logos or stores? I remember in February 2023 there was less than 2 weeks between when the Festival of Arts ended and Flower and Garden began.
Completely agree. We loved the winemaker lead tastings and the food and wine pairing lunches. It's still fun, but its just kiosks.I miss how much fun the Food & Wine Festival used to be. I loved the daily wine tastings and speakers from those wineries. The daily cooking with chef classes etc. we went to the Party of the Senses several times and it was so much fun.
honestly im ok without the culinary demos. im perfectly fine with just buying food from each country and calling it a day. but now im intrigued with the Festival of the Arts and will probably consider that for my next disney trip!I'm a former F&W fan, who hasn't been since they discontinued the culinary demos.
