I never thought about trip insurance before reading this

Thank god this happened to this family on a Disney Cruise... I wonder if others would have been as accommodating. Anyone else have something happen like this?

Thanks for the story and the reminder. You just never know. Accidents / sickness can happen very quickly and without warning.

On our last cruise, a grandmother and granddaughter were dancing together and the grandmother tripped and fell on the granddaughter on night. The next morning we made an unscheduled detour to Nassau. A rescue boat met us and the whole family transferred to the boat.

Needless to say, we now have trip insurance for our next cruise.

We had something like that happen! We were taken off the Magic on a smaller boat to a hospital in Mexico where my son had his appendix removed. Thank GOD for travel insurance!!! And, Disney was wonderful throughout.
