Just back- WCC review

Just got back from a two week trip a few hours ago, and wanted to get this review posted first. More will follow over the next few days :)

I read the posts here about the wild time at WCC, so we booked dinner there to check it out. The CM's do have a lot of fun with the diners (especially the kids- but they involve the adults as well), and as far as the crazy antics go dinner was a great time. I want to focus on the food, though.

It was probably the worst meal I have ever had in all my years at WDW. It was a family style meal like LTT and GG (which were fantastic BTW), but it was not good at all. The ribs were dry, they ran out of pulled pork, etc, etc.

Rather than complain on and on and on I just wanted to post this as a 'buyer beware'. This is only my 2 cents worth, others on this board have had good meals there. I won't be returning to WCC, however- and just wanted to make sure that those of you considering this restaurant had a chance to see what my experience was last week in addition to the others that have posted on the WCC.

Blessings.

I think their all-you-can-eat dinner skillet is horrid, as well. I much prefer their lunch menu and I order everything ala carte.

we have enjoyed breakfast here many times, but this is not my favorite place for dinner. it just does not appeal to me. but dessert is good there!!

I have to say that we did not enjoy the food either this past May. There were 4 adults and two children, and none of the adults cared for the food. Three had the roast chicken and I had the ribs. There was plenty of food, but none of it outstanding. Maybe it was an off night?

We've eaten there three times and never had bad food. At least a couple of us have always gotten the skillet, too. On a 10-point scale, I would probably rate the food our three visits a 6, 7 and 7.

Just for comparison, I'd give Boma a 9+, Prime Time Cafe an 8, Ohana a 6 and Sci Fi a 4.

Interesting. We went there lasttrip, but I admit we ordered our dinners offthe menu -- didn't do the AYCTE skillets. I'll keep this in mind however when we return there this August. THe pork chops and ribs my dh and i ordered last trip were WONDERFUL. We rated our WCC food right up there -- probably some of the best chops we've EVER had, and my ribs were great too. Our onyl issue -- those gnarly little ears of corn. YUCK. I prefer ol' canned corn to those starchy little blobs.

thanks for sharing. we only do breakfast here, esp. when we are staying at the WL. Breakfast is good and we order from the menu (not the skillet). The breakfast is about the same as any other sit down restaurant on property. We have done lunch and ordered from the menu, and it was OK. We will stick to breakfast at WCC. We did do the skillet once when they first openned in 1995 and did not care for the selection, so never did it again.

We went once and ordered the all-you-can-eat dinner and were also very disappointed. All the meat tasted the same (smoked) and it was very dry. We probably wouldn't try this again for dinner, unless we order off the menu.
