Kelyn's Post-Pregnancy WISH JOURNAL (Comments welcome!)

Kelly! You are doing SOOO GREAT!! Keep up the good work! I really want an MP3 player! I hope you can find yours! I love Maroon 5 and Joss Stone also. I really need to pick up their CD's one of these days! All those compliments at work sure do feel great, dont they!?!

:wave2: Hey Kelly,
You're doing a great job ::yes:: ! What I do for the teaser is stick my feet under a couch or something just like you would do if you were doing a sit-up. Makes it much easier to get to that sitting position. Hope you have a wonderful day :sunny: !

Thanks Valerie, I'll try that!

I had a great workout today, my friend came with me and we were at the gym for 2 hours! It was great, we did a lot of different weight machines, excercise ball, plus I went on the treadmill again.

I walked for 19 minutes at 3.5-4.0 mph and ran for 11 minutes at 5.5-6.5 mph. In the end I did over 2 miles:) I had lots of fun but I don't think I've sweat so much in a really long time. It felt like a sauna in the gym because it was actually in the 60's outside today but they still had the heat on in the building, ick, lol it was pretty gross!

Ok, time to go out with some friends. I'll try not to have too many drinks!

I brokedown and bought myself a new MP3 player today, lol not just because I can't find the other one though:) The old one was a cd player that was acting up. This one is a nice RCA tiny player that holds about 128mb worth of songs! For now I'm going to put some Maroon 5 and Creedence on it. I can't wait to workout tomorrow!

I went shopping today and tried on some capris that I had been looking at for a while. So I brought a 12 and a 10 into the dressing room with me and I tried the 10 on first. IT FIT!! I was so excited! I can't believe how much I've lost:) I've gone from a 14 to a 10 in less then three months! THIS IS AWESOME!! I can't wait to see the results in June for my wedding!

Here's hoping for more progress!

:Pinkbounc :bounce: WTG, Kelly! It must have felt so great to buy those size 10's ! I am also a size 14 although they are starting to get looser so you are giving me the inspiration that I can get back to a size 10 also :D . Hope you have a wonderful day :sunny: !

Kelly, I finally got caught up on your journal and your exercise is INSPIRING!! You're doing such a great job and seeing those results ( size 10 capris - YAY!!! )!

Keep it up!! :sunny:

hey kelly, i've been away from your journal for a while, and i just got a chance to catch up! oh my, you're making such great progress! :bounce: you're doing a great job getting in your exercise, and sweating a heck of a lot :p . good for you! congrats on the size 10 capris! that's a great accomplishment. keep it up girl, you're doing a great job :Pinkbounc

My workout plan is still going strong! I have to say I'm proud of myself and my accomplishments even more now that yesterday my sweet fiance told me that I had the most will-power and stamina of any person he's ever met! He such a sweetie:) His encouragement is keeping me going.

So with a little over two and half months left he's starting his plan to get healthy. Since he's not in college anymore and he started a new job he's been in a bit of a rut.

Currently we're sitting in the library cafe. He's reading "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" (SO CUTE) and I've been on tons of Disney sites planning our trip:) But after this we're going right to the swimming pool on campus to swim some laps. I'm not much of a swimmer. I've always been scared of the water and I didn't learn to swim till I was about 10. It's been a couple of years since I've been swimming and I'm dreading putting on a bathing suit since I had a bit of an accident yesterday with my razor. Lets hope I don't look like too much of an idiot in the cap and googles Drew got me today. LOL I don't want to ruin my hair with clorine before the wedding!

I'll update later and tell you if I didn't drown:)

Hopefully you didn't drown!! I 'm wanting to mix in some swimming for my cardio too. I just need to do it!

You are doing tremendously well! You have alot to be proud of!!! Loosing all the weight and having a wonderful fiance!!!

LOL yeah I'm not a good swimmer. I don't know how often I can go and swim with Drew. I may be a pisces but I'm no fish! I was so exhausted after that day that I missed my class the next morning:( At least I didn't miss much. Plus I hate that class. Anyway, I'll leave the swimming to Drew. He plans on doing that at least twice a week.

I'm so tired! I worked out so hard this week, I feel good that I did but man am I tired. LOL I guess it's that good kind of tired though. I went to the gym on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, plus I went swimming on Thursday! AHH! LOL but it was fun, I had a friend come with me on Friday and it was so much fun to laugh at all the stupid guys working out there. They think they're so cool, they're mostly frat guys that I really can't stand.

I haven't lost anymore weight lately but I think I've been gaining a lot of muscle. My arms are getting so much better, I'm hoping they'll look good in time for the wedding. I also need to concentrate on my stomach next. I've been doing abs lately and my stomach is aching so much, I hope that means whatever I'm doing is working!

I'm not feeling well at all today:( It looks like I won't be going to the gym but that's ok, LOL I worked out a lot last week anyway:) I've had the worst stomach cramps ever. Plus my body ached all over. I couldn't figure out if it was from working out or being sick. LOL that's pretty sad! Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow but at least today I'm going to have some more time to spend with Drew. We're probably going to go to the movies today and see Hellboy. Such a romantic movie to go see!

:wave2: Hi Kelly,
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Definitely a good idea to take the day off from the gym if you are concerned it's pain from overdoing on the abs. You don't want to end up seriously hurting yourself. Hope you have a great day and enjoy that romantic movie ;) :sunny: !

hey kelly, i'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well! i hope you are feeling better today!

haha, hellboy, romantic, yup, sounds just about right  . hope you enjoyed it anyway!

have a good one :sunny:

So, Kelly, tell us about your romantic trip to the movies! ;) Hellboy - oh my! Was it good? My 16 yr old DS wants to see it.

I do hope you're feeling better! A painful abdomen - oh no!

If you're not much of a swimmer but you still want to hang out at the pool with your fiance, you could use one of the kickboards they have laying around at most pools. Even WALKING or running in the shallow end of the pool can be great exercise because the water adds resistance. Can you tell I was a lifeguard and swim instructor in a former life?? :p

Hope your Wednesday is turning out to be a good day! :sunny:

Hi Kelly,

You are doing an awesome job exercising. I hope you are feeling better today. Did you read Harry Potter, too. If not, I highly reccommend it.

I understand your feelings about water. I used to love swimming. I got caught in a riptide, and now I won't go in open water. Unfortunately, my swimming skills have suffered greatly. I need to work on this, because I want to learn to scuba dive. Have you thought about taking more swim lessons? Most colleges offer them, and it would be a way to switch up your exercise routine.

Have a good Wednesday.
:sunny:

:wave2: Sorry I haven't posted in so long! I've been quite busy lately with work, school, and the wedding planning. Don't worry I've kept up with my workout routine. I've even lost two more pounds! That brings my total loss up to 14 pounds!! I can't even fathom what 14 pounds of fat looks like! I think I can get a new WISH pic soon!

I increased my running time on the treadmill to about 13 minutes at 6.0 to 6.5 mph and walking for 17 minutes at 4.0 mph between my running sessions. My heal is feeling a little better, it doesn't seem to hurt as much at work when I'm on my feet.

I went to the mall this weekend and got a corset from Frederick's of Hollywood. LOL it was so much fun trying them on. They sucked me even more so that my dress is going to have to be taken in a lot. I have an appointment on Saturday to have the dress altered. LOL it's going to have to come in a lot but I'm so happy!

Another great workout today! I started with a warm-up by punching the bag today which I've been doing since last week. It feels great to get the aggression and stress out of my system. I'll have to get some kind of gloves though because some of the skin on my knuckles started to peel off. LOL EWWWWW!!

I've also started taking vitamins daily which seem to be working since a lot of my bruises started to disappear. I got a diet smart kind (Wal-mart's Equate brand) that has EGCG, anyone try these before?

I know it's bad for the skin but I'm going to start tanning soon. I really don't want to be pale as a ghost for the wedding and I don't want to burn so quickly when we're at Disney. Anyone have any tips about tanning?

Thanks everyone:)

Yeah another pound lost! One more to go until I get my 5 pound Wish gif! I can't wait! Tomorrow is my dress fitting so I'll try to post some pics on here!

Yesterday I had my first dress altering! I got my dress 2 years ago off Ebay in a size 14 which I was a the time. It never fit me though, I didn't realize the differences in regular dresses and bridal dresses. I was panicking about how I would be able to ever fit in it! My wedding was postponed a year due to other circumstances so I didn't have to worry about that for a while. Come this January I finally took the initiative to start exercising hardcore and eating better. Since January 5th I've lost 15 pounds and I've gone from a size 14 to about a 10/12. The bodice even has to be taken in a bit now:)

I loved the way my dress fit, it made me feel so beautiful! The people who worked at the shop said that my dress was "a breath of fresh air" because all they seem to be working on lately were David's Bridal dresses (or David's Mechanics as they called them.) No offense meant to people who got their dresses there, I just feel happy to have a different style dress.

I tried on a veil that I absolutely loved that the owner of the store made and it was beautiful:) It was a simple two layer with a white edging. It's only $40! I wish I had a picture of that but my mom was really slow with the camera and only ended up taking 3 pictures! Hopefully next time I go back in two weeks she'll take more.

I also stopped by JC Penney's and got a couple of outfits for the honeymoon at Disney and while I was there I decided to check in at their salon and see if they had an opening on my wedding day. Luckily they were and I made an appointment for a manicure, pedicure and hairstyling. The hair will only cost between $20 and $30!

Only 55 days to go!

You look absolutely stunning in that dress. Congratulations. Everything seems to be coming together. How are your nerves?;)
