I have made tons of ADRs for our upcoming anniversary trip this May and le Cellier is totally unavailable! I checked from 3pm - 8 pm for every night of our trip. I checked for our party of 7 and just for DH and me. NOTHING...NADA! I can't believe it? :confused3 Do you think there is a mistake?

No, not a mistake. This is common for Le Cellier. If you want to eat here, you call at 180 days.

nope, its a VERY popular restaurant. Last year for our august trip it was booked for dinner for our entire trip within a few days of the 90 day window opening (we got it right away at 7am the day our window opened).

It may get some cancellations but you will have to keep trying back.
Remember with the 180 day window, reservations have been made for that time frame for over a month now.

I didn't have the same problem with any of the signature ressies or with CRT! I ate there in 2005 and even called to change the ADR several times with no isses...and that was July 4th week! :confused3

No mistake, that's par for the course at Le Cellier. There's always cancellations, so keep trying.

Part of the reason it's so popular it that it only serves lunch and dinner, and it's quite small. The seating capacity is only about 150.

2005 was before the dining plan caught on and made Le Cellier the biggest ticket restaurant-wise at WDW, bar none. Not even CRT is as popular.

Did you try for lunch? The menu is similar only less choices and is less expensive. I just got our ADR's for lunch there for the 3rd week in March this week. Maybe I just got lucky. I also was trying for lunch and not dinner.

When we were there in July they were turning ppl away, which is normal, and I overheard the hostess tell one family that they were booked for dinner through the end of September! Le Cellier is tough to get and fills up quickly but keep trying you never know when someone might cancel.
Also, have you tried lunch? They have a very nice lunch menu and you will still get to enjoy the wonderful restauruant. Just a suggestion.

I agree w/the previous poster..try for lunch. If you look at the menus, alot of the same items are still available.

Nope, they're always booked up right at the 90 day mark, and they turn away walk ups at the podium.

Yep, probably, but we aint in 2005 anymore Toto..

I LOVED LC when we ate there Dec 07, but was sad when the head chef left and they got rid of the maple filet. We did eat there nov 08, and the waiter was used to that complaint as he got me as close to it as possible. As TDC Nala said, it's really a small place so even if it wasnt this popular it would still book up pretty quickly.

I agree with the PP's who suggested to try for a lunch ADR. Le Cellier has a very nice lunch menu.

I would consider it a gift that you can't get in personally. The food and service were horrid on my last trip (our only bad experience all week) and we missed 1/2 of illuminations with 6:30pm ressies. Their food was OK. Have had lunch there twice before and the food was OK but not worth all the hoopla. There are better places to eat that you can get ressies for.

My 2 cents.

I got a lunch for late April just last week. Keep trying, but you may have to go for a lunch instead of dinner.

Yes, it is almost impossible to get in the place. We have been there once; we found the food to be good, not great, but good. However, we were very disapointed in their attitude and service.

We were escorted to a seat in the back right next to the restroom entrance and seated between two hostess stations; one for credit card payments and the other for silverware. It was very busy with people constantly walking past to use the restroom, servers going to the stations, and constant clanging silverware right next to us. For those of you familiar with Le' Cellier, then you know exactly where we were seated.

When we politely asked if we could be moved the server told us the manager said it was not possible. We then asked to talk with the manager and then asked her politely about being moved. We even told her we would be willing to wait awile. Her answer was a firm "NO, you can eat here or you can live". Talk about shocked.

I'm sure I will give Le'Cellier another chance, but I was very disapointed in my only visit. I have to agree with PrincessAurora, ok but way to much hoopla. There are better choices.

We have one reservation for our trip in June (booked exactly 180 days in advance), but tried to change it the other day and couldn't. They were booked for the entire week.

We've been three times and always had excellent service and excellent food there. We're going to alter our plans so we can still go on the day I previously booked.

Definitely worth checking every so often incase something comes up.

Here's another possibility that hasn't been mentioned - try booking for a party of eight instead of seven. The reservation system has been known to behave strangely with odd-numbered party sizes.

Your dates are four months away, and are in between the busiest times - post-Easter, pre-summer rush. I suspect there's something out there for you.

What about splitting into two parties of four? That could work as well, and there's reason to believe you could be accommodated as one group at check-in.

Piggy-backing on that great idea (that has worked for us on several occasions)...sometimes you can make a reservation for a smaller group size and just tell them at the counter that your party got larger (or call ahead if you're worried.) We had no trouble changing our party size on past trips.

Just keep trying! We were trying for Christmas dinner, and we finally got it 2 weeks before Christmas! You never know when someone will cancel!

We saw 2 groups turned away when we were there in June that tried to do that.

We have an 8:30pm reservation for Friday May 8th for 2 I'm about to cancel. Are you going to be there then?
