********Edit: I am familiar with the site that everyone is linking but it doesn’t seem to have a listing for a 4 night cruise on the Magic out of NOLA.*******

I’ve found lots of Navigators for a four night cruise on the Magic but none sailing out of NOLA. Would it be generally the same activities as one for a sailing out of Florida?

Also, anyone know what the Silent Dance Party is?

Thanks!

Scott's blog has many navigators and you can choose by ship and departure. https://disneycruiselineblog.com/personal-navigators/

In Silent Dance Party everyone wears headphones that have different tracks, so people are dancing to different music. You can only hear what's in your headphones, so the room itself is "silent".

Thanks! I think she’ll enjoy that. She’s on a dance team.

I’ve seen the blog but can’t find anything sailing out of NOLA. A site search yields nothing. I was wondering if the itineraries, menus and things are similar on the Magic or depend on the city you depart from.

It might be the Wonder that has cruised out of NOLA in the past. But even then, the 5-night could be a different itinerary. If it's just onboard activities that you want to know, I would expect it to be similar to other recent Magic cruises. If you are looking for more specifics of what night is X or what dining rotations may be offered -- that may be harder to come by.

Mostly I want to know which activities, characters, etc. would be available for our 6 year old granddaughter. We’ve never cruised before.

Here's a Navigator for a 4-night cruise out of New Orleans on the Wonder: https://disneycruiselineblog.com/20...ean-cruise-from-new-orleans-february-14-2022/
Here's information from a 5-night cruise out of New Orleans on the Magic:

These should give you an idea of the kinds of activities that may be happening on your cruise.

The characters on each cruise vary depending on who is available, but there will always be some princesses, some classic characters (Minnie/Mickey/Donald/Goofy/Chip/Dale) and some other characters.

Thank you!

Silent Dance Party is super fun. Everyone looks like idiots because they're rocking out to music that only they can hear.
It was so funny how much my husband liked it! He normally only dances at weddings after the cocktails kick in but he was one of the only people dancing and when he did the robot the bartender gave him a free drink for making her laugh.

Thanks! I missed that.

That's why I suggested looking for recent Magic sailings because unless they do a complete staff changeover, it should be similar regardless of the itinerary.

Thanks, we are mostly interested in princesses. I booked BBB for both a princess and a pirate makeover and the Royal Court Tea and plan to book the Royal Gathering. Girl loves her some fancy dress!

If you look at a list of activities for any Disney cruise of similar length and # of ports, you are going to find a general idea of what happens. Which activity, time, and day is determined by the activities staff on that cruise.

The evening production shows (3 per cruise) will be the same on the Magic, year-round.

The menus are not going to change on the New Orleans cruises. You will have the three dining rooms’ standard menus (you get each one when you go to the various locations - menu is for the venue, not the night). And one night is Pirate Night, with that menu.
