"Mom, dont forget the picture"

We made it back to POFQ and changed into some dry clothes, hit the gift shop and the arcade then called a cab and headed to The Boardwalk and one of our favorites ESPN Zone!!

We have been here a couple times and really enjoyed it, always good food, good service and my son thinks its like "Sports Heaven" so how can we not go :goodvibes

So again this was just the 4 of us, I have no clue where the other two were and at this point, honestly i was ok with that :rolleyes1

It had been a loooong week and as much as we said somthing about certain things there was alot we didnt, so the entire day alone just the four of us (all but an hour or so in the morning) was just what he doctor ordered :cloud9:

The rain was still coming down pretty good so we headed straight to ESPN and my son was "starving" so we (well him & daddy) had a starter...Red Wings - Medium, Hot, Flame, Teriyaki, or Barbecue served with Celery and Blue Cheese Dressing $11.49

Disneysept2010618.jpg

They chose medium and loved them! Not to spicy but a little tang just how my son likes them, daddy on the other had would have picked Hot if they were just his!

my son chose the ESPN Dinger Sandwich - Breaded Chicken Breast tossed in a Medium Sauce $10.49

Disneysept2010621.jpg

i was shocked as they had a Chicken Caesar Salad on the menu but he went with his other favorite a chicken sandwich! He asked for the medium sauce on the side so he could dip. I think with just having the wings the sandwich in sauce would have been a little much.

Now if you were reading along you know my family love for Ribs, so it was a no brainer that my DH & DM were going to choose the Rack 'em-Ribs with the Fixins - Ribs with Sweet n Tangy Barbecue Sauce served with Coleslaw, Corn on the Cob, and your choice of Cucumber Salad or French Fries $20.99

So after a week of seeing these guys eat ribs and asking our really nice waiter if they were swimming sauce or not, which he informed that no they werent, I also chose the Ribs!

Disneysept2010622.jpg

Holy Cow!!! There were two slabs of ribs on this plate, one over top of the other with fries underneth!! I mean WoW, I swear we could have all shared one dinner!! my goodness it was a boatload of ribs!

That said, oh my lord were they good popcorn:: We tried putting a dent in them, but as Man VS Food says...Food Won! So we packed them up to take with us and well since we were packing things why not pack up dessert, I mean hey it is vacation after all!

Here were th dessert choices, A Sweet Ending to Your Celebration . . . Rocky Road Cake - Chocolate Cake layered with Chocolate Mousse, Walnuts, Marshmallows, and Fudge Sauce $5.99

Disneysept2010631.jpg

Boston Cream Pie $5.99

Disneysept2010632.jpg

Lemon Meringue Pie - Graham Cracker Crust with Fresh Lemon Filling and a Toasted Meringue $5.49

Disneysept2010630.jpg

Bananas Foster Cream Pie - A new twist to an old classic, layered high with fresh Bananas and Custard over Banana Bread and White Chocolate Whipped Cream $5.49

Disneysept2010633.jpg

Four desserts, Four People well it only makes sense to pick one of each! We had a taste testing later that night, and really it was a taste testing because more than a bite we might have blew up!

they were all tasty in there own right holding true to what they were but oh my loving goodness was the Bananas Fosters Cream Pie AH MA ZING!!!! lordy have mercy, I mean kids that is right up there with The School Bread in Norway, The MagicCookie bar at Riverside and the Napoleon from the Bakery in France! yes I swear it is that good! :worship::worship:

Do yourself a favor and head to ESPN, from appy's to dessert this place rocks! and whatever you do get that Banana Fosters Dessert :cloud9::cloud9:

So after rolling out of there we did a little shopping at the Boardwalk before calling a cab and heading back home to pack as tomorrow is our last day :sad1:

Coming Up Last Day and Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch :grouphug:

Thanks for the tips!

I love Man Vs. Food! I watch it all the time. I love seeing the "signature" dishes that he gets from different places, there's nothing like "World's biggest such and such" here or anything that makes restaurants stand out, there's a few with challenges, but they're generally along the lines of "You need to eat 2kg of meat, plus a side of potatos and dessert" so, not really all that fun :confused3

Your so welcome!!

Well my friends it always comes, the day we all dont want to see...the LAST day of your Disney Vacation :sad2:

Since we drove down this trip, we packed up the night before and in the AM we loaded up the van, filled up our coolers with ice, water and goodies for the road and pulled out from POFQ and headed over to the Poly for our Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch and a little time in Magic Kingdom before starting our journey home to PA :goodvibes

On our trip in 2008 we had Breakfast scheduled here but it wasnt to be, from being really stuffed to really soggy we cancelled, slept in and saved Stitch for another day :upsidedow

And that day was now!!

First up I love the Poly, I love, love, love Hawaii and the this place just takes me back there as soon as we step inside :cloud9:
Someday on a just me & hubby trip (shhh dont tell anyone here ;)) we are staying here~

Ok so we have been to Ohana's for dinner a couple times and loved it and have been wanting to try breakfast and we are so glad we did! You know I love the character meals even if there crazy, but this one, being served Family Style, wasnt so crazy!! We will make a return trip here for sure!

Disneysept2010654.jpg

This is sooooo good!! A little island flavor for breakfast :worship:

Next Up Fresh Fruit
Disneysept2010653.jpg

the kids gobbled these up right away, fresh and chilled and yummy!

The Main Course
Disneysept2010652.jpg

We had a couple of these everything was very good, the hit of the table was the sausage (and Mickey Waffles of course ;))

Everything was wonderful and I dont have a picture, but the bread was Awesome!! Our server was on the ball, pleasent and sweet! As was the guy that sat us, he was having a good time playing around with the kids :cool1:

Just like any other character meal this is what you come for...
Disneysept2010659.jpg

We had a really, really good time here! As always Ohana is on our must do list, next time for breakfast & dinner :thumbsup2

So after breakfast we took the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom to do some "last minute" things!
My guys headed to Space Mountain, DN & DNn went to Buzz and Mom and I headed down Main Street to shop!

My guys met up with DN & DNn and some
Disney2010207.jpg

just what you need inbetween riding Space, Splash and Big Thunder Mountain :rotfl: they made there rounds and rode there favorites a couple times!
All the while mom & I were shopping our little hearts out! and the last place we always hit of course, "the goodie shop" as my son calls it!

So we all head in and get goodies for the trip home, to eat at home plus some treats for the kids in my sons class~

BOO-YA!!!! Now thats what i'm talking about!! Who does not love this store? They love me, my husband didnt :lmao: but he liked what he got out of it

Everyone was hitting there favorites one more time and rounding out our day mom & I hit the WDW railroad for 3 spins around the park, just talking about everything we love here and why, when we come home we will start planning our next adventure to Our Happy Place!!!!

Coming Up! One more post about our hits, misses and the wrap up!!!

I am happy to say we didnt have anything really, really bad, horrible service or anything like that, so that is always a good thing :thumbsup2

So lets start at the at day one and give ya a quick "what we thought" kinda review!!

Oh and an FYI, not sure if I said but we were on the Disney Dining Plan, so any Appitizers, some snacks and T-Rex was out of pocket! We like the dining plan, if for nothing else I like having it paid for before we go :thumbsup2 This trip we did get lucky as our dates fell into the Free Dining days, that was a nice chunk of change to have credited back to my card, more shopping for me:woohoo::woohoo:

YAK-n-YETI ~ This was our first trip here and wont hesitate to go back, the rib eaters in the group loved the ribs and want to go back just for them! Everyone had a good meal and the desserts were tasty as well! Our service was also top notch, nice, friendly, on the ball but not pushy :goodvibes

POFQ FOOD COURT~ Shocker of the trip I think, everything we had here was really good, so much so we had it twice!

SUNSHINE SEASON~ We have been before and its was and still is a great place for any meal, lots of choices and we have never been dissapointed yet!

TEPPAN EDO~ The chef you get here could make it break it, luckily we had a very entertaining one! The one downside here, the steak my mom and I had here. It just wasnt good, but that said I could see us making a return trip here sometime!

WRITERS STOP~ Great out of the way place for a snack, drink or just a break! Thanks to the Dis I found this place a couple trips back and now its always on my "gotta hit list"!

SCI FI CAFE~ This place can get a bad rap, but I have to say we like it! My son thinks it "really cool" so that alone would get us there, because I am sure one day he might not think that ;) Lunch is our choice, as dinner before wasnt quite as good, so Lunch it is! I'm sure we will be back!

RIVERSIDE FOOD COURT~ Another place that surprised us of how good it was! We would love to stay here someday, but if not I'm sure we will visit...if for nothing else those MagicCookie Bars :lovestruc

CRYSTAL PALACE~ A family favorite so I am sure we will be back, but we do prefer breakfast, its just better and you get in the park before everyone else :thumbsup2

FLAME TREE~ Hubby says next time this is a must do so he can get his favorite ribs! He dosent ask for much so we will let him have one choice next time :rotfl2:

NORWAY~ What a great lunch mom & I had! I know I will be back for the School Bread, that my friends is a given ;). Who knows maybe lunch someday, but there are so many places in World Showcase to try, that would be the only reason we would skip it

FRANCE BAKERY~ Really you have to ask...:rotfl:

T-REX~ Again another pleasent surprise! We had so much food this night but all good and the kids loved the place! Its not on the Disney Dining Plan but was well worth it!

DONALDS BREAKFAST at TUSKER HOUSE~ A wonderful breakfast as always, so many choices you cant go wrong! And again we like to go early(even though we were late this time) to get in the park before the masses :yay: We'll be back!

ROSIES & CATALINA EDDIES~ Well if there was a "downer" this was it, just not that great of food, I mean it was ok but definatly the worst of the trip. Our fault, we had the same experience here one other time, live and learn and nope we wont be back :headache:

COSMIC RAYS~ My boys really like it and I have to say mom and I did as well, will we be back? Sure if we are by and hungry, not something I would plan, but I would advoid it either!

ESPN~ A winner again!! We really like this place, we always have good food and service and we really dig the place what can I say, we bleed Black & Gold so its like football heaven for us! Its worth the trip to The Boardwalk, I and I know we will be back!!

OHANA'S LILO & STITCH BREAKFAST~ Very Good! Loved the way it was served, everything was tasty and the characters were the best we encountered the entire trip! While there we voted that for next trip, Ohana's for breakfast and dinner!! So yep we will be back!!

So there ya go, our crazy little trip all wrapped up!! As I said we use the Disney Dining Plan and really like it, we used the reular plan this time and it was fine.
Next time I am thinking once again we will use the Deluxe Dining Plan, we had in 08 and yes it is alot of food, but we like alot of 2 credit places! So for that alone we will go deluxe. As we love Yatchsman, want to try Californa Grill and we always have a good time at the Hoop De Doo, so the deluxe it be~

We got a bounce back offer so we are making a return trip, in Aug or Nov(checking schedules) cant wait, i'm starting my list as we speak ;)

I'm just not telling anyone yet for fear they will want to go along...:scared1:

:goodvibes thanks For reading, hope you enjoyed it! and maybe it helped a little with your planning or just getting your food porn fix :worship:

Thank you so much for the food reviews...I have enjoyed reading and LOVE The pictures.
We are trying the DxDDP for first time in December and can't wait:santa:

Sorry I havent been back on for awhile...

So I asked my hubby where he got these and he told me Casey's :confused3 now I havent been there in awhile, plus I checked allears menus and they are not listed, but he described the place and so did my son~

They also told me they got that as a counter service meal with a coke to drink and Cotton Candy as dessert! sometimes they are a little slow with details :rotfl:
