I'm sure I'll have many questions as I go about this, but...
At Pier 39, is there a restaurant where my family could have a good dinner and see the sea lions at the same time, or should we just go to Bubba Gumps? My husband and both boys love love love shrimp.
We will be driving in from Yosemite, probably leaving Mariposa, about 11:00am. Assuming we'll be getting to San Francisco around 2:00pm. By the time we check into the hotel and unload our stuff, it'll be 5:00pm or so. I would like to get several things knocked out that evening, since we are heading 30 minutes south the next morning for a while, doing a walk at Ano Nuevo and visiting the Redwoods before heading back to San Francisco, sometime early afternoon. We'll have to be leaving early the next morning, so whatever we haven't completed will need to get done then.
The things I want to make sure we do are:
cable cars
Golden Gate Bridge
Pier 39 sea lions
Coit Tower?
Steiner St/Hayes
Lombard Street
Seal Rock?
beach walk (if not too cold)
Boys will be 9 and 7. Anything we need to do that isn't on that list? We won't really have a lot of extra money, so we need to do things that are free or don't cost much.
If we parked somewhere at 5:00pm on day 1, could we get on a cable car and somehow make our way to Pier 39 to have dinner and then ride cable car back to where we parked. Of the list above, what things do you think should be done in the same day, because they are close to each other or something like that?
Thanks in advance for help. I wish we have more than this amount of time, but we don't.
Mary
