Needing bloodwork while at Disney

My husband just got put on new meds and has to have his blood tested while we are at Disney. We will not have a car. Does anyone know of the closest place to have this done?

If you have insurance, go to your portal and search by ZIP Code and/or address to see where a Quest or LabCorp (two places that are in Central Florida) is. (That is, if they're in the network.)

If you don't have insurance, search directly on the Quest and LabCorp sites.

There is an old thread on Disboards mentioning a written request on Prescription Form from your physician needed.
I also remember Disney parksblog discussing a new service that provides medical services at your resort while visiting WDW.
I have gone to the 24/7 Urgent Care location in Kissimee and behind a CVS and Starbucks in Celebration They are excellent but do not process your medical insurance…pay cash or credit card and they give you the forms needed to file it yourself.

Frequently blood testing doesn't have to be on an absolute date. Check with your doctor. Ask if the blood test can be done the day you leave or the day you come back. May not matter if you're only going to be gone.a week. Probably an issue if you're on vacation for a month

Transportation is provided to Advent health facilities. Check with your insurance. Maybe pay for the blood draw. Have the blood sent to a participating lab.

You can check for locations for whayever lab participants with your insurance, quest for example. Research the cost of transportation.

Does anyone know of the closest place to have this done?

There is a Quest Diagnostics in Celebration about 0.6 miles from the end of World Drive. Very easy to get to from Disney. Should be an easy taxi/Uber/Lyft ride. We used it many times when we were snowbirds living in near Champions Gate.

The Quest entrance is in the back of the building on Celebration Blvd.

You can make an appointment which should make the visit quick. Just make sure you take a paper copy of your lab order from your Doctor. Even if you use Quest at home. The Quest computer systems are very regional.
