True. I served as an officer in USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). What isn't known is that Kitty Hawk was being built next to USS Constellation (CV 64) at the shipyards. When a warship is laid down, a brass plaque is welded to her hull down deep in the engineering spaces naming the Ship, her yard and so on. The under construction Kitty Hawk had a massive fire that slowed her delivery, so the under construction Constellation became the Kitty Hawk. I owned the machinery space where the plaque for Kitty Hawk read "USS CONSTELLATION CVA 64". Little bit of trivia

Interesting! My dad was also on the Kitty Hawk, not sure if he knows that little bit of trivia but I'm going to ask him.

I like the idea of a Hawaiian theme restaurant, LILO & Stitch and Moana.

Fantasmic theme restaurant, with Sorcerer Mickey. Fantasmic scenes come to life on the walls. Colors and pretend fireworks in ceiling lights.

I like the idea of a Mary Poppins show.

Small world Restaurant with foods from all over the world.

Or maybe ship is Nostalgic-all pre Pixar characters.

In December 2024, the curtain will open on a brand-new original Broadway-style production on the Disney Treasure. Joining a dazzling lineup of fan-favorite shows including “Beauty and the Beast” and “Disney Seas the Adventure,” will be none other than “Disney The Tale of Moana.” Debuting exclusively at the Walt Disney Theatre onboard the Disney Treasure, “Disney The Tale of Moana” will bring the adventurous journey of Moana, inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, to center stage for the first time. The show will follow Moana as she embarks on an incredible journey to save her island after she is chosen by the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti. Fans of the original film will recognize many beloved characters like Gramma Tala, Maui and Tamatoa when they appear on stage, as well as songs from the film’s iconic soundtrack.

I wish the treasure got a better line up of shows. Beauty and the Beast and Moana are great since BATB is on dream and not likely to be out of florida much anymore if ever, but seas the adventure was lame, cute idea but sooooo short not full length.

Disney Treasure Construction Update – Funnels Installed – 12/5/2023

In today’s Disney Treasure Ship Log update from the Disney Parks Blog, the cruise line shared an update on the progress that has taken place in recent weeks, including the lifting of the forward and aft funnels to their rightful place atop the ship.


Complete with a coat of primer paint, the icons that are known across the entire fleet have officially found their new home, bringing the Disney Treasure one step closer to completion.


The Disney Treasure is scheduled to launch December 2024 with Caribbean sailings departing from Port Canaveral, Florida.
