Well shoot... what is up with this new format? Gonna take some time to get used to I think...
Also, apparently I can't put a title into my posts anymore. Wonder if I will be able to figure out how to link them?!? Doesn't Disboards know I don't like change! I can't deal!!!
I have about 2-3 posts left to finish this sucka up. I really would like to do so before I leave for Princess Half Marathon Weekend in like 18 days. Let's see if I can make that happen!
Backin' it up like a Tonka Truck...
We are on our way back to the boat from our lovely, wonderful, sunny & sharkless day on Castaway Cay. Cap't Kill Joy already left us behind for the comfort of his stateroom TV.
We wandered past the store where Rebecca picked up a T-shirt with her money. And I also picked up a T-shirt with my money.
Sarah, being the rebel child that she is, went and picked a flower before I realized it. Uh. Oops. I'm pretty sure that's probably a Disney no-no. Sorry Mickey. Use some of the thousands of dollars I dropped on this vacation to replenish the stock.
And also, pretend I didn't take pictures of her with the illegal flower.
Or this one.
And I took my favorite picture of the ship. She really is beautiful.
The walk back to the ship was long. And the kids were having none of this walking stuff... so we hopped on the tram back to the pier.
We stopped to to see our favorite summer snowman...
Closer- cuz it's cute!
Anyone need gas?
Have you ever seen an elephant fly?
Soon enough, we were back on the ship.
And it was time to start packing up our stuff to leave. Boooooooooooo!!!!!
And by 'time to start packing up our stuff' I mean that in the singular sense... as in I was packing up all our stuff. Someone else (killjoy) was continuing to take his full rights as father vacationer...and do nothing. (no, I'm not bitter.. am I?) Hahahahaha!
As it was time to depart from that magical isle of bliss... the horns played their tunes one last time. A full melody of different Disney songs... and I wandered out to our balcony to say goodbye to my little piece of heaven...
It was beautiful. And sad. As our last hours of the cruise descended on us.
I finished up my packing & wandered down to purchase my CD of pictures that cost roughly the equivalent of a new car. That was my one big souvenir purchase that I wanted to get because I have grand plans to scrap this wonderful vacation. And I'll start on that project right about the time I receive my first social security payment.
Our last dinner was scheduled for our favorite restaurant- Animator's Palate.
We walked in and had no idea what we were in store for. Tonight was 'show night' and we'd never experienced this before.....
We were handed pieces of paper and told to 'draw'. So we did......
Finished products......
Self-Portrait by Cap't Killjoy. The only thing that would have made this picture better is if he decided to draw himself in the Disney matching t-shirt that we all had but he refused to wear! (back on day 1- where he ruined my family picture)
Drunk Grandma. Notice the teeny-tiny bit of scowl in her smile. The only thing that would be better for this picture is.. yup.. alcohol.
Tween
Illegal Disney Flower Picker. She is very honest about everything (she has no filter). This applies to herself as well and it makes her an extreme perfectionist. Please note her P.S note in the upper right hand corner where she calls her self out for messing up the hands!
No one took a picture of me (shocker) and not sure why none of Charlie? Just notice that hers was very RED. Apparently she's drawing Disney Zombies or something....
They collected our pictures and then we got down to business of eating...
My notes indicate everything was VERY good tonight... although I cut the pictures due to image limits.
Then, what happened next was awesome. It was the 'show'. They literally took our drawings and incorporated them into the video playing around the restaurant and animated it.
Here's Rebecca's (left), Mine (Disney Shirt) and Drunk Grandma.
Sarah's & Cap't Kill-Joy (on far right)
And the giant blood Disney zombie- let's just say.. it was REAL easy to find hers....
They even inserted it into Disney cartoons...
And they gave credit where credit is due.....
Our actual signatures (in the above pic there is mine, Rebecca's, Gram's & Charlies).
It was so, so cool... I LOVED this!
It was a great 'last dinner'. We rounded up our servers to take a picture.
Gilbert (right) was so amazing- we LOVED him. Highly recommend him to anyone sailing on Fantasy! Renaldo (left) was ok.
We said our goodbyes & gave our tips and walked back to our room to see the sun setting on our last night of the cruise. So bittersweet....
Killjoy and his minion Sarah headed out to see the Muppets movie. Drunk Grandma, myself and Char headed to see the farewell show (it was ok). And our last little bit of pixie dust....
We threw our bags out in the hallway to be collected & went to bed. Early wake up call to leave our ship.
But we still have a day of Magic Kingdom ahead................
