I have been waiting ever so impatiently for someone else to start a June 2022 thread, but alas, I can wait no longer. We've canceled 2 trips because of covid thus far, one in Sep. 2020 and one for July of this year. With Vaccines available, and things opening back up, we are more excited than ever to get back home next June. Who else out there is heading back to Disney next June? Let's get the list started, and start talking trip planing!

I'm in! We just got back from WDW a couple days ago, and I can't wait to see how things will improve next June. I want to immerse myself in the 50th!

Welcome! How was your trip this year? After having to cancel two trips I'm personally aching to get back. We haven't been since 2019, and haven't been in June since 2008! I'm really excited for the 50th too. Especially with some of the new rides opening up before we get there. (Space 2020 too, Finally) If you would like your name added to the roll call just let me know your dates.

Not sure about our dates yet. Our daughter is in high school band, and is supposed to play at graduation. Once we finalize our dates, I'll add to the roll call.

We actually visited WDW in October 2020 and June 2021 (without an AP, unfortunately) because my family is just that Disney crazy. :mickeyjum

We had a great time both visits. There were some big differences between the trips, but the magic is still there. I'm looking forward to no masks and more attractions open next June, but I'll miss the distanced tables at restaurants!

Our oldest was in the band throughout Jr high and High school. We haven't been to a football game since she graduated. 😆 Our youngest just turned six though....so. She's the reason we postponed our annual trip twice. She's big into the princesses, and BBB. It would just be to hard to explain why hugging Rapunzel just isn't an option right now. It's been really hard for us to have to put it off since we normally go every year. I guess it will just make the return trip just that much more special when we get there. I'm not going to lie though. I am still a bit Jealous of everyone who's had multiple trips since the parks have reopened. (Still think we made the right call for us) but I really miss my Disney home.

Howdy. We are booked June 21-27 at ASM. We have spent the last year getting serious about paying off debt and this trip will be a reward for meeting the goal. So technically it’s not a for sure thing, but wanted to put the deposit down to get the preferred room. We are a family on a budget, but want some magic for our kiddos. We’ve been to Disneyland a couple times, and hubby and I did an adults WDW in October.

right now we would have 5 full days. Plan on doing magic kingdom for 2 full days, AK, and HS and a rest day. Will do Epcot for a half day before we fly home. I’m still debating this.. but Epcot was our least favorite while there and knowing my kids I think we would enjoy full days elsewhere more. The frozen ride would be a priority and then of course maybe the new rides that are coming.. but nothing else is a must there having done soaring and racers many time at Disneyland. My kids will be 9 and 5 next summer!

the one thing I really really really want to return is BBB. My daughter would just absolutely love BBB. I hope it comes back. If not.. I’m going to have to think of another way for a princess makeover for her!

Welcome @katyringo ! You will be down there while we are there too. I really hope everything comes together for you, especially since your kids are the perfect age to go. I feel confident that pretty much everything will be opened back up by the start of the 50th. My only real worry is if FP+ is coming back in its current form, or is Disney going to try to squeeze some juice out of that lemon as well. I'm ok with paying for a lot of things, but FP isn't one of them. I just don't think that is fair to people at all.

BBB was one of the big reasons we decided to cancel our other trips. My youngest LOVES it, she has a closet full of princess costumes, and has an autograph book full of signatures. There is no way she would be ok with not getting up close to her favorite princesses.

Personally Epcot is our favorite park. My youngest loves MK of course, but My Husband, oldest daughter and I could get lost in the World Showcase for hours...Especially Japan and France. Not to mention that the festivals are going on pretty much year round now. We could blow an entire trips allotment snack credits at the Food and Wine festival easily. 😁 AK is my least favorite park. It just always feels so Hot and crowded to me. But, that's just me. Everyone has their preferred way touring.

Today we start our traditional weekend movie countdown with Snow White. I know there is a year to go, but boy will it go by fast. (Especially once school starts!)

I am curious to see what happens with fastpass. We personally love the maxpass system at Disneyland would pay for it at DisneyWorld. I liked that with maxpass it came with photo pass. I booked memory maker. We will have to see what happens! That being said we are seasoned rope dropers. In October my husband I were first inside HS and were escorted in my security straight to MMRR :). I almost kinda like no fastpasses.. not a huge fan of the boarding groups. But was successful in October at 7am. I don’t even plan on telling my kids about Rise until I have a boarding group…

@katyringo I’m just trying to be patient. Right now everything is still an unknown in the planning department. All we can do is wait and see what goes back to normal, and what has changed for good.

My wife and I had a lot of talks about whether we would have gone if our kids were still little. There's still so much missing for them. At 14 & 12, we had a great time as a family, but I agree that this probably isn't the the time (YET) for little kids or one-in-a-lifetime trips. There's still lots of magic to be had, but we love looking back at pictures with our littles ones meeting Rapunzel, Mikey, Cinderella, and more. Not to mention all the time spent at playgrounds like Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

Oh man! I'd nearly forgotten abut the Honey I shrunk the Kids Play area at HS. That was my older daughters favorite place to burn off some energy.

i agree. We did a couples only trip in October and we’re very glad the kiddos had not come with us. We had a good time but it wasn’t the same.

Well we were booked at all star movies and then I remembered that we are now eligible to stay at shades of green! So making that switch as soon as we hit a year out- which will be Monday!

I'll make that change. We are One year out as of Thursday! The countdown begins. :cool1:

We booked our flights and resort stay yesterday. We’ll be checking in to Caribbean Beach June 15th and leaving the 21st. I was hoping to book the week before, but the category room we wanted wasn’t available. Slightly worried that the new Juneteenth holiday (and new three day weekend) will bring increased crowds that weekend, but it might be fun to be there for the Juneteenth/Father’s Day combo.

We had 6 trips with our kids from 2013 - 2019. This will probably be the last trip for a while as our kids have gotten older, but we’re hoping some of the newer rides that are under construction will be done and ready by this time next year.

Hoping there will be some deals closer to June and we can upgrade our resort - if not we’ll stick with Caribbean Beach. We’ve never been yet and liked having the skyliner available (something else we haven’t used/done yet).

Looking forward to planning the next year and keeping track of all the new changes that will take place until then!

I don't think that Juneteenth will bring in anymore traffic then Fathers Day already will. Even if it does it will only be over the weekend so I'm not personally sweating it much. The Skyliner actually opened right after our last trip. (September of 2019) I do want to take a detour to hop on and ride it around the horn. Maybe on one of our Epcot days.... 🙂 I'm super excited about the new Remy ride opening up this year as Ratatouille is my oldest daughters favorite Disney movie. She was heartbroken when Remy was pulled from Chefs de France. Not to mention, ROTR and MMRR both not being open on our last trip. It's pretty exciting for sure!

We'll be there starting June 11. Just waiting to book our DVC next month and flights. Hoping they extend F&G again next year.

Me too! We usually go during Food and Wine and have only experienced F&G once.

Officially booked for June 21-28 at shades of green! Still need to get tickets but because we will order them through shades and need to pay in full we need to save for a bit longer! The 50th announcements yesterday have me all in my feels! We are going to book 2 full MK days and then a full day at each of the other parks and a rest/resort day. Really looking forward to shades of green.

It always feels good to have something concrete on the board. I've been playing around with park plans on the Touring Plans site. Sure those plans are going to change, but that just means more planning! 😆
