Whew!! I had to update from March 10th until yesterday and it took quite a while...but now I am current!!

So, I guess an update is in order....

This has been a REALLY spendy month...but it looks as though we've finally been able to rein it in and can get back on track for April. Today is payday (the pay for DH's March hours which covers our April bills), so I've tossed the April spending money "savings" into the accounts already. I usually hold it back until the first of the month so it actually shows up in the month it "belongs to" but since it's Easter weekend and we will be visiting family out of town...I thought I'd just do it today while I was in there paying bills and transferring money anyways.

Because March was so over budget...the name of the game for April is CLAWBACK!! We're going to try and balance getting what we need, with saving as much as we can, so we can divert more towards our suffering little pile of vacation savings.

We also filed our taxes Monday, so when the refund hits our bank account in a week or two, that will be transferred over right away.

I'm still working out the math...but basically we need approx the following amounts (CAD) in the following categories...

**Hooray for the income tax refund!! Yesterday I managed to slam a bunch of money down from the refund but I held a little back because we took the car in this morning for an oil change and to fix a flat tire. We didn't know if the tire was a fix or replace situation so I help back some of the refund in order to cover a replacement. Fortunately, it was fixable and it was easily covered by the money we had set aside for it and the extra $200 I held back was put into the Disney account this afternoon. I'm hoping to get the Disney package price fully set aside by the end of April/beginning of May and then I'll be restructuring the savings tracking. I'm SO excited!!

**We changed our minds on one of our cruise excursions. We ended up deciding not to go to the mainland and stay in Cozumel instead. I'm pretty excited about the new stuff we're going to do. The excursion is cheaper (a little bit) and we are fine tuning the Disney dining options and such, so our grand total may change a little bit to reflect these tweaks. It's a work in progress.
