Park hours in May

We are going to Universal at the end of May and I noticed both parks close at 8pm. Is that normal hours? It seems really early to close for the summer. This will be our first time going to Universal so I'm not familiar with historical trends.

May isn't really summer yet from a theme park crowd perspective. I'd expect weekend and Memorial day hours to be longer, but otherwise I think what you see is what you get. In real off seasons, it's 5-6pm.

Ok. We will be there May 29th to June 1st, moving over to WDW on the 1st.

Yeah those hours are normal for May. I've even seen 7 pm closing times before on certain days. That is one thing I really dislike about Universal. I wish the parks were open longer especially since IoA looks great at night.
