Can someone please tell me how to add a photo to my post? Also if I would like to add a picture (such as a Birthday cake etc.) how do I do that? I know I am puter illiterate but I've come to the right place to get some education! LOL Thanks so much in advance.......Cindy :confused:

Thanks....hope this works!

Well I think I've got that down ok let's see if it's gone now....Ok now I am still having trouble with photos?

One down, one to go.

Where is the photo stored?
Do you have a link?
Also, where do you want to place your photo? In a message or in your sig?

Thanks for getting back to me. The pic is from a digital camera and it's stored in Corel Photo House and on C drive under "my pictures". But I can't cut & paste it at all. DS was trying to help me last night as I was trying to put them in "Photo Island" site album and I think he changed a few things.I just want to put the pic in my message. :confused:

Testing out the colours tooHmmm I think I've got that too but no luck with these pictures.Let's try thisand this And this and this

Do you see it on "Photo Island"? I'm not familiar with that service.(?)

If you don't see it there and you have it on your hard drive, why not create a site here on DIS to store it?

That first link I posted has info on creating a new site for you to use. Just remember to follow the steps as the password does not like to display at times. Just hit the cancel (stop) button in your browser when it appears to have stopped downloading. After the site is created, it is really easy to upload photos. If it is not in the correct format, just let me know and I'll get it transferred for you in no time.

BTW, what is the filename of that photo so we can see if it is compatible to view?

Kevin

No I never did get them to load onto that web site.It says it's an MS Dos name and then the name that I gave it? I have to run out for a bit but I'll give the DIS web site a try later....thanks Kevin....

YES I did it but now how do I get the pic to come down in size?????????

How can I get my photo to be smaller? Help! And thank you....I am learning slowly but surely! lol

That is one BIG cat!

Change the text of the reply to this:

&#60IMG width="200" SRC="http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/sammi01/2.jpg">

to get this:

<IMG width="200" SRC="http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/sammi01/2.jpg">

(I found the right code, finally!)

Not yet.

Copy/paste from my post. It appears to have to be done differently than using the other tags, &#91img][/img]

(I keep using the wrong code! Arghhhh!)

hmmm not working for me yet...Kevin I tried copying from the pic you produced but it's still the same BIG size

You almost had it :)

You just need to put in the size again:

&#60IMG width="200" SRC="http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/sammi01/2.jpg">

<IMG width= "200" SRC="http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/sammi01/2.jpg">Good lord! LOL Must I do this everytime???? I'm ready to shed a few tears!!! lol

It's working here.

The width="200" needs to be placed right after the IMG code and before the SRC code. This will resize it to 200 pixels.

&#60IMG width="200" SRC="http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/sammi01/2.jpg">

Note: This IMG is different than the one you are trying to use. It begins with a < instead of [ . Just look carefully at the code again. Compare it to yours and you should see the difference.

VERY CLOSE!

Here is what you typed:
IMGwidth="200"SRC=http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/sammi01/2.jpg

Now put a space between the IMG and width, "200" and SRC and all should be great.
